Fit & Factory Deductions
We will make all the necessary deductions based on the measurements you provide. Do not make your own deductions. Don’t add to the width to make up for any deductions that we will take. For more light coverage, choose an outside mount. See the deductions chart for the deductions per collection.
Good to Know
- The standard valance measures 6" in height and includes matching returns for outside mount. Inside mount returns are available upon request for most shades, but are not compatible with the Cordless Top Down Bottom Up lift.
- For outside mount shades ordered with a valance, the valance will be made ½” wider than the ordered width. The headrail and fabric will be made to the specified size.
- If no valance is selected, a 4"H back valance will be included to conceal the controls.
- For outside mount shades without a valance, the headrail and back valance will be made ½” narrower than the ordered width for a clean, finished fit.
- When a valance is chosen, the Continuous Cord Loop control will be positioned in front of the shade.
- When no valance is chosen, the Continuous Cord Loop will be positioned behind the shade material when the shade is lowered.
- Outside Mount Cordless Top-Down Bottom-Up shades will be made 3/4" wider than the ordered width to allow the returns to fit behind the valance.
- Outside Mount shades ordered with both a Movable Liner and Valance will be made 3/4" wider than the ordered width.
- Motorized shades must be ordered with a valance.
- When both a liner and valance are ordered, the valance will be lined with the same color as the chosen liner.
- All Continuous Cord Loop shades come standard with a nickel-plated chain loop.
- Shades ordered with Continuous Cord Loop will have an additional 7/8" deduction to the width to ensure proper clearance and prevent damage, which may cause a light gap.
- Deductions may vary +/- 1/8". Do not account for factory deductions when measuring for your shade. Deduction information detailed in the table below.
- A standard 3/8" deduction on both fabric and headrail will be made for inside mounts. No adjustments to your measurements are required.
- The edge binding upgrade adds a 1/2" border to the bottom and sides of the shade. If a valance is also chosen, the border will extend to the valance.
- Woven wood shades without a liner may allow visibility through depending on lighting conditions.
- Liner Disclaimer: All Blackout liners will have an off-white coating visible street-side with the color selected facing inside, unless "Reversed Liner" is specifically requested. Please refer to product specs for more information.
- Light Filtering Liners will come with the selected color both inside and street-side.
- Movable liners are only available with Cordless and Motorized lift systems.
- Movable liners back control lift system will come standard with a Continuous Cord Loop, with the loop chain located on the left side of the shade.
- Shades ordered with Movable Liners require deeper headrails to accommodate both lift systems. Cordless with moveable liner requires a minimum 4" depth, Continuous Cord Loop & Motorized with moveable liner each require a minimum 5 3/4" depth.
- Material will always cover a portion of your window, even when fully raised. Please call in for considerations.
- Motorized options are powered by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, which will be shipped at or below 30% charge for safety. Fully charge your shades before use for optimal performance.
SelectConnect Bridge
- The SelectConnect Bridge is compatible with almost all Motorization systems we offer. (Not compatible with Panel Tracks, Wood Blinds, or the SelectBlinds Automation system)
- The SelectConnect Bridge is only compatible with remote-operated shades. (shades that use both Wand + Remote are compatible, Wand-only shades are not compatible)
- You must have Wi-Fi access in areas where products are installed for controller to work.
- Download of free Bond Home App on iOS (Apple) or Android devices required.
- Controller range is approximately 150' or 30 blinds/shades. One controller per floor is recommended for use in typical size homes. However, multiple units may be needed for full coverage depending on the location of window coverings and the layout and construction materials of your home.
- Please note this product is not covered under our FIT Guarantee.

Remote Motorization
- At least one remote is required to operate motorized Prestige Escape Woven Wood Shades. If ordering multiple shades, only one remote is needed to control them all.
- Remote is already programmed to the motorized shade. All that is required is to connect the battery to the motor and your shade is ready to operate.
- Rechargeable remote-control Motorization lift system upgrade includes rechargeable motor battery and charger.
- Battery charge will last up to 6 months based on an average-sized shade raised and lowered twice a day. It takes approximately 4 hours to recharge the motor when fully depleted.
- Remote reaches from approximately 65-80 feet away from shade.
- At least one remote is needed per order. The 5-channel remote allows you to operate up to 5 shades on a single frequency. When adding a multi-channel/frequency remote, please select 'No Remote' for any additional motorized shades you want to add and power with.

Inside Mount Instructions
To ensure an inside mount will work for your window, start by checking that you have enough mounting depth. You can find the exact requirements under the “Specifications” tab on the product page of the item you are considering.
Measuring the width
- With the tape measure, find the exact width (left to right) of the inside edge of the window frame in three places (top, middle, and bottom). Choose the smallest of these measurements.
- If you get a 1/16” or 1/32” increment, round down to the nearest 1/8”. (For example, if the smallest measurement is 24 9/16", round down to 24 1/2". If it's 24 3/8", no need to round down.)
- This will be the width you order.
Measuring the height
- With the steel tape measure, find the height (top to bottom) of the window frame in three places (top left, center, and top right down to the window sill). Choose the largest of these measurements.
- If you get a 1/16” or 1/32” increment, round up to the nearest 1/8”. (For Example, If the largest measurement is 24 9/16", round up to 24 5/8". If it's 24 1/2", no need to round up.)
- This will be the height you order.
Outside Mount Instructions
An outside mount is a great choice for better light coverage, since it fully covers the window and frame. To get the right fit, you’ll need to account for a few extra measurements when placing your order. We’ll custom make your shade to the exact dimensions you provide—no automatic additions are made.
Flat Surface Requirements
Start by choosing where you’d like to mount your shade. You’ll need at least 1-2½” of flat mounting space. For more details, check the product page and review the “Specifications” tab.
Measuring the width
- Measure the window’s width in three spots (top, middle, and bottom).
- Find the largest measurement and add at least 2” to each side, giving you more light coverage and added privacy.
- That number is the width.
Measuring the height
- Measure the window’s exact height in three spots (top left, center, and top right down to the bottom sill).
- With the largest number, add 2 inches to the top and bottom, for a total of 4 inches. Add more if you want even more coverage.
- That number is the height.
Measuring Tips
- Use a steel measuring tape
- If you get a 1/16" or 1/32" increment for width, round down to the nearest 1/8"
