Fit & Factory Deductions
We will make all the necessary deductions based on the measurements you provide. Do not make your own deductions. Don’t add to the width to make up for any deductions that we will take. For more light coverage, choose an outside mount. See the deductions chart for the deductions per collection.
Recommendations
- Deductions may vary +/- 1/8". Do not account for factory deductions when measuring for your shade. Deduction information detailed in the table below.
- Products come with extra fabric to conceal the roller tube.
- To ensure color consistency and minimize dye lot variation, order all shades for the same room at the same time.
No Drill
- IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If any No-Drill Blinds option is chosen, take all three standard width measurements (top, middle, bottom) to check for variance, but be sure to input the exact measurement of the top of your window frame into the width field. Compare the three measurements, and if the variance between them exceeds 1/4", No-Drill Blinds may not fit properly.
- The Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds and Built In No-Drill Blinds options are only available for Inside Mount, and require 2 1/2" of depth to install. They are not recommended for use with PVC or metal window frames.
- Factory will deduct approximately 5/8" off the width of the Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds headrail, and 1/4" off the width of the Built In No-Drill Blinds headrail.
- Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds headrail is only available in the color white and will be visible after installation, with or without valance. The Built In No-Drill Blinds headrail is fabric wrapped to match the material of the shade, and is not visible after installation.
- The locking mechanism on all No-Drill Blinds headrails will be located on the right side.
- All shades ordered with the Built In No-Drill Blinds headrail will have a small amount of excess fabric on the side of the shade to cover the locking mechanism and minimize light gaps.
Good to Know
- Cassette and rails for the Premium Cordless lift system will always come in the color white.
- When the Cordless or Premium Cordless lift is ordered with a cassette as outside mount, the included cassette endcaps will have circular holes to allow for easy adjustment of the shade's tension.
- Cassette will be white and fabric wrapped based on fabric chosen. Bottom rail is fabric wrapped to match.
- The back of the shade shows a neutral fabric.
- Always lift and lower cordless products with both hands to avoid unleveling and the need for re-leveling.
- Motorized options are powered by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, which will be shipped at or below 30% charge for safety. Fully charge your shades before use for optimal performance.

- The SelectBlinds Automation Bridge supports up to 15 shades per bridge and provides secure remote access through the SelectBlinds Automation App, allowing shade control from anywhere. Additional bridges may be added as needed.
- Improve performance and responsiveness when controlling multiple shades throughout your home. The Bridge enhances range, helps maintain alignment for grouped shades, and keeps timers accurate by automatically syncing each shade's internal clock.
- Programming for your shades and accessories is completed through the SelectBlinds Automation App.
- SelectBlinds Automation is not compatible with the SelectConnect Bridge.
Remote Motorization
SelectBlinds Automation is our latest innovation in motorized control, offering seamless two-way communication between your smartphone and shades, with support for unlimited shades, customizable scenes, and flexible timers.
- For an average-sized shade under typical usage (raising and lowering once per day), the internal rechargeable battery will last approximately 6 months. The battery can be recharged up to 500 times. It takes approximately 7 hours to fully recharge the motor from a depleted state.
- The internal rechargeable battery requires a 5V DC-compatible charger, sold separately as a Charging Kit. The kit is available in white only and includes a power block and a 120" charging cable with a USB-C connection. At least one Charging Kit should be added to your order.
- Motorized options are powered by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, which will be shipped at or below 30% charge for safety. Fully charge your shades before use for optimal performance.
- Add a Solar Panel to your order to keep your shades charged automatically, reducing the need for manual charging and battery maintenance. This convenient, energy-efficient option captures solar energy at the window and offers flexible mounting options.
- The 5-channel remote can control up to 10 individual window treatments. The Motorization Lift System upgrade does not include a remote. While a remote is not required for system operation, we recommend adding one remote per room if remote control operation is desired.
- Never lose your remote again. The Remote Wall Mount provides a convenient magnetic home for your remote and is simple to install. The Wall Mount Kit includes a wall bracket, magnetic wall plate, two screws, and two drywall anchors. The wall bracket can be installed using the provided screws or 3M Command Strips (not included).

Inside Mount Instructions
To ensure an inside mount will work for your window, start by checking that you have enough mounting depth. You can find the exact requirements under the “Specifications” tab on the product page of the item you are considering.
Measuring the Width
- The width measurement is taken from the inside edge of the window frame at the top.
- If you are getting a 1/16” or 1/32” increment, round down to the nearest 1/8”. (For example, if the smallest measurement is 24 9/16", round down to 24 1/2". If it's 24 3/8", no need to round down.)
- This will be the width you order.
Measuring the Height
- The height measurement is taken from the window frame in three places (top left, center, and top right down to the window sill).
- Record the largest height out of the 3 measurements up to the nearest 1/8”.
- If you are getting a 1/16” or 1/32” increment, round up to the nearest 1/8”. (For Example, If the largest measurement is 24 9/16", round up to 24 5/8". If it's 24 1/2", no need to round up.)
- This will be the height you order.
An outside mount is a great choice for better light coverage, since it fully covers the window and frame. To get the right fit, you’ll need to account for a few extra measurements when placing your order. We’ll custom make your shade to the exact dimensions you provide—no automatic additions are made.
Flat Surface Requirements
Start by choosing where you’d like to mount your shade. You’ll need at least 1-2½” of flat mounting space. For more details, check the product page and review the “Specifications” tab.
Measuring the Width
- When measuring the window’s width, take the measurement at the top of the window frame.
- You’ll use that measurement and add the recommended minimum of 4 inches. This will ensure the window is properly covered.
- Now you have the perfect width and you’re ready to order.

- When measuring the window’s height, take it from three locations: the left, center, and the right.
- You’ll use the largest of the three measurements and add the recommended minimum of 4 inches. This will ensure the window is properly covered.

Measuring Tips
