Fit & Factory Deductions
We will make all the necessary deductions based on the measurements you provide. Do not make your own deductions. Don’t add to the width to make up for any deductions that we will take. For more light coverage, choose an outside mount. See the deductions chart for the deductions per collection.
Recommendations
- Deductions may vary +/- 1/8". Do not account for factory deductions when measuring for your shade.
- Shade must be installed evenly to avoid fraying on sides.
- Do not remove band around shade until fully installed to avoid fraying on sides of shade.
- Always lift and lower cordless products with both hands to avoid unleveling and the need for re-leveling.
No Drill
- IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds is chosen, take all three standard width measurements (top, middle, bottom) to check for variance, but be sure to input the exact measurement of the top of your window frame into the width field. Compare the three measurements, and if the variance between them exceeds 1/4", Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds may not fit properly.
- Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds is only available with Inside Mount and requires 2 1/2" of depth to install. It is not recommended for use with PVC or metal window frames.
- Factory deduction up to 5/8" off the Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds headrail for all lift types.
- Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds headrail is only available in color white.
Good to Know
- Product can only be mounted to the top or rear of window casing, side mounts not available.
- The colors Modern White and Ivory will have White color coordinating hardware.
- The colors Beige and Natural will have Ivory color coordinating hardware.
- The colors Gray, Blue Jean, and Desert Twilight will have Silver color coordinating hardware.
- The colors Chocolate and Hazelwood will have Bronze color coordinating hardware.
- The color Black will have Black color coordinating hardware.
- Side-By-Side Alignment: If you are ordering shades that are the same height for side by side installation, please call/text our Customer Care team before the order is placed to notify us which (if any) shades you would like us to align for you. We cannot guarantee alignment for side-by-side shades with a total width over 96".
- Continuous Cord Loop will have a 24" chain if the shade is under 36" in height, and a 36" chain if the shade is over 36" in height.
- Locking lever mechanism is located on the right side for Cordless, Motorized and Motorized Wand lift types. For chain-operated shades, the locking lever mechanism will be located on the opposite side of the clutch and chain.
- No additional fabric is added to the roller due to the nature of this window treatment’s design.
- For a uniform look, we recommend selecting the same lift system for all shades in a room as different lift systems may come with varying cassette styles.
- The solid band width is larger than the light filtering band width which allows room for overlap. Shades have room to maneuver slightly longer to achieve full closure in the down position.
- The safety device is required by law and must be applied on chain loops and prevents free-hanging loops in operating chains. Install the safety device at the maximum distance possible from the control mechanism to prevent slack in the loop.
SelectBlinds Automation
- SelectBlinds Automation is our latest innovation in motorized control, offering seamless two-way communication between your smartphone and shades, with support for unlimited shades, customizable scenes, and flexible timers.
- For an average-sized shade under typical usage (raising and lowering once per day) the internal rechargeable battery will last around 6 months. BThe battery can be recharged up to 500 times. It takes approximately 7 hours to recharge the motor when fully depleted.
- The internal rechargeable battery requires a 5V DC compatible charger, which is sold separately as a charging kit. The kit is available in white only and includes a power block and a 120” charging cable equipped with a USB-C connection. At least one charging kit should be added to your order,
- The 5-channel remote can control up to 10 individual window treatments. Motorization lift system upgrade does not include remote. A remote is not required for system operation, but if remote control operation is desired, we recommend adding one remote to your order for every room of shades.
- The Wall Mount Kit includes a wall bracket, magnetic wall plate, 2 screws, and 2 drywall anchors. The wall bracket can be installed with provided screws or with 3M Command Strips (not provided) for flexible installation.
- Never lose your remote again! The Remote Wall Mount is simple to install and provides a convenient magnetic home for your remote.
- Programming for your shades and accessories is done in the SelectBlinds Automation App. Refer to the motorization guide linked below for more information.

Inside Mount Instructions
To ensure an inside mount will work for your window, start by checking that you have enough mounting depth. You can find the exact requirements under the “Specifications” tab on the product page of the item you are considering.
Measuring the width
- Start by measuring the width from the inside edge of the window’s frame at the top.
- If you are getting a 1/16" or 1/32" increment, round down to the nearest 1/8". (For example, if the smallest measurement is 24 9/16", round down to 24 1/2". If it's 24 3/8", no need to round down.)
- This is the width you will order.
Measuring the height
- Measure the exact height (top to bottom) of the window frame in three places (top left, center, and top right down to the window sill).
- Record the largest height out of the 3 measurements up to the nearest 1/8".
- If you are getting a 1/16" or 1/32" increment, round up to the nearest 1/8". (For example, if the largest measurement is 24 9/16", round up to 24 5/8". If it's 24 1/2", no need to round up.)
- This will be the height you order.
Outside Mount Instructions
An outside mount is a great choice for better light coverage, since it fully covers the window and frame. To get the right fit, you’ll need to account for a few extra measurements when placing your order. We’ll custom make your shade to the exact dimensions you provide—no automatic additions are made.
Flat Surface Requirements
Start by choosing where you’d like to mount your shade. You’ll need at least 1-2½” of flat mounting space. For more details, check the product page and review the “Specifications” tab.
Measuring the width
- When measuring the window’s width, take the measurement at the top of the window frame.
- You’ll use that measurement and add a minimum of four inches, which is 2” for each side. This will ensure the window is properly covered.
- Now you have the perfect width and you’re ready to order.
Measuring the height
- When measuring the window’s height, take it from three locations: the left, center, and right.
- You’ll use the largest of the three measurements and add a minimum of four inches, which is two for the top and two for the bottom. This ensures the window will be properly covered.

Measuring Tips
- Use a steel measuring tape
- If you get a 1/16" or 1/32" increment for width, round down to the nearest 1/8"
