Fit & Factory Deductions

Recommendations

Fabric color can vary from one dye lot to another. To ensure that all materials are from the same dye lot, please order shades for the same room at the same time.
Multiple shade orders of different heights may not have the same size pleats. We recommend ordering all shades using the longest length in the room and with the same lift system.
When no valance is selected fabric will fall over the top of the headrail (waterfall style), and can be 2+ inches from the wall on outside mount. We recommend 4+ inches be added to the width of your shade when outside mounting to prevent light gaps.

Good to Know

Deductions may vary +/- 1/8". Do not account for factory deductions when measuring for your shade. Deduction information detailed in the table below.
Soft Fold and Pleated Fold will cause some discontinuity in the pattern due to pleats.
Pleated Fold with a Blackout liner will have Blackout Strips applied to the rear of each pleat to cover light gaps caused by pinholes.
Multiple shade orders of different heights may not have the same size pleats. We recommend ordering all shades using the longest length in the room.
The length of the bottom pleat will range between 3" - 9" depending on the total length of the shade.
When selecting Continuous Cord Loop, please note the chain will be a clear plastic chain.
With all lift systems, bottom pleat may not fully retract with other pleats when fully raised.
Outside mounts with motorization will be 1" wider at the headrail than ordered width.
Edge binding is 2" wide.
Hold down brackets are not available on this product.
Coverings over 48” wide will have vertical seams.
The Blackout Liner only comes in white.
Lift cords are located on back of shade for a clean, uncluttered look on front.
Continuous Cord Loop lift and Motorization lift will have a valance for outside mount only. Cordless lift will not have a valance on inside or outside mount.
Fabric Roman window coverings may appear wrinkled after installation. Most minor wrinkling will smooth out after hanging for several days. For quicker results, use a garment steamer or iron on the back of the shade, being careful to avoid direct contact with the fabric.
Material will always cover a portion of your window, even when fully raised. Please call in for considerations.

Motorization

SelectConnect Bridge

The SelectConnect Bridge is compatible with almost all Motorization systems we offer. (Not compatible with Panel Tracks, Wood Blinds, or the SelectBlinds Automation system)
The SelectConnect Bridge is only compatible with remote-operated shades. (shades that use both Wand + Remote are compatible, Wand-only shades are not compatible)
You must have Wi-Fi access in areas where products are installed for controller to work.
Download of free Bond Home App on iOS (Apple) or Android devices required.
Controller range is approximately 150' or 30 blinds/shades. One controller per floor is recommended for use in typical size homes. However, multiple units may be needed for full coverage depending on the location of window coverings and the layout and construction materials of your home.

Remote Motorization

Motorization remote is not included and at least one remote is needed per order. Motorization charger comes standard.
Add a 1-channel remote which can operate on a single frequency or upgrade to a 6-channel and 16-channel remote available at additional cost. When upgrading to multi-channel/frequency remote, please select 'No Remote' for any additional motorized shades you want to add to and power with it.
1 channel remote can operate up to 1 shade. If you have more than 1 shade to operate on a single remote we recommend 6 channel or 16 channel remote.
6 channel remote can operate up to 1 shade on each channel for a total of 6 shades.
16 channel remote can operate up to 1 shade on each channel for a total of 16 shades.
Battery operated white remote comes included with a lithium battery CR 2032 – 3v.
Remote reaches from approximately 260 feet away from shade.
Motorized options are powered by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, which will be shipped at or below 30% charge for safety. Fully charge your shades before use for optimal performance.

Inside Mount Instructions

Measuring the Width

Begin by measuring the width of the window. Measure from left to right and measure at the top, middle, and then bottom of the window.
Write down the narrowest width of the 3 measurements down to the closest 1/8".
If you are getting a 1/16" or 1/32" increment, round down to the nearest 1/8". (For example, if the narrowest measurement is 24 9/16", round down to 24 1/2". If it's 24 3/8", no need to round down.)
This is the width you will need to order for your window.

Measuring the height

Measure the height from top to bottom, starting at the top left, then moving to the center, and then measuring from the top right to the window sill
Document the largest height out of the 3 measurements up to the closest 1/8".
If you are getting a 1/16" or 1/32" increment, round up to the nearest 1/8". (For Example, If the largest measurement is 24 9/16", round up to 24 5/8". If it's 24 1/2", no need to round up.)
If you have several windows in a room that are all very similar in height, order all of them at the largest height to ensure similar pleat sizes.

Outside Mount Instructions

An outside mount is a great choice for better light coverage, since it fully covers the window and frame. To get the right fit, you’ll need to account for a few extra measurements when placing your order. We’ll custom make your shade to the exact dimensions you provide—no automatic additions are made.

Flat Surface Requirements

Start by choosing where you’d like to mount your shade. You’ll need at least 1-2½” of flat mounting space. For more details, check the product page and review the “Specifications” tab.

Measure the top left, center, and top right of the window to find the height.
You’ll use the largest of the three measurements and add the recommended minimum of 4 inches. This will ensure the window is properly covered.
If you have several windows in a room that are all similar in height, order all of them at the largest height to ensure similar pleats.
