Fit & Factory Deductions
We will make all the necessary deductions based on the measurements you provide. Do not make your own deductions. Don’t add to the width to make up for any deductions that we will take. For more light coverage, choose an outside mount. See the for the deductions per collection.
Recommendations
- Measure carefully and use your exact opening size when ordering. No need to adjust for factory deductions—we handle that for you (deductions may vary ±1/8").
- Skylight shades include side tracks for a secure fit and feature a neutral white backing for a clean, consistent exterior appearance.
- Most skylight shades are designed for smaller window areas, with a maximum size of 25 square feet.
Good to Know
- All deductions may vary +/- 1/8". Do not account for factory deductions when measuring for your shade. Deduction information detailed in the table below.
- All side tracks, headrail, bottom rail, and hardware will be off white.
- Max area square footage is 25.
- Shades over 36" wide will come with support cords.
- Shades over 42" wide will come with a rail stiffener.
- Motorized has an external battery pack that adds an extra 1-1/8” to the mounting depth required if mounted on the back of the headrail.
- Motorized options are powered by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, which will be shipped at or below 30% charge for safety. Fully charge your shades before use for optimal performance.
SelectConnect Bridge
- The SelectConnect Bridge is compatible with almost all Motorization systems we offer. (Not compatible with Panel Tracks, Wood Blinds, or the SelectBlinds Automation system)
- The SelectConnect Bridge is only compatible with remote-operated shades. (shades that use both Wand + Remote are compatible, Wand-only shades are not compatible)
- You must have Wi-Fi access in areas where products are installed for controller to work.
- Download of free Bond Home App on iOS (Apple) or Android devices required.
- Controller range is approximately 150' or 30 blinds/shades. One controller per floor is recommended for use in typical size homes. However, multiple units may be needed for full coverage depending on the location of window coverings and the layout and construction materials of your home.

Remote Motorization
- All side tracks, headrail, bottom rail, and hardware will be white.
- Inside mount only.
- Only available with Top stack.
- Max width - 48"
- Cannot mount horizontally. Must have at least a 5% slope in order to operate correctly.
- Motorized remote control lift option operates up to 15 shades at the same time.
- Inside mount: Additional 3/16" (+/- 1/8") headrail deduction taken at factory.
- Inside mount: Additional 1 1/4" (+/- 1/8") fabric deduction taken at factory.
- Remote is already programmed to the motorized shade. All that is required is to connect the battery to the motor and your shade is ready to operate.

Inside Mount Instructions
To ensure an inside mount will work for your window, start by checking that you have enough mounting depth. You can find the exact requirements under the “Specifications” tab on the product page of the item you are considering.
Measuring the Width
- To determine the width, measure from left to right on the top, middle, and the bottom. Use the narrowest width out of those numbers.
- If you get a 1/16” or 1/32” increment, round down to the nearest 1/8”. (For example, if the smallest measurement is 24 9/16", round down to 24 1/2". If it's 24 3/8", no need to round down.)
- This is the width you will use when ordering.
Measuring the Height
- To determine the height, measure from top to bottom on the top left, then the center of the window, and then the top right to the bottom of the window sill. Use the shortest height out of those numbers.
- If you get a 1/16” or 1/32” increment, round down to the nearest 1/8”. (For Example, If the largest measurement is 24 9/16", round up to 24 5/8". If it's 24 1/2", no need to round up.)
- This is the height you will use when ordering.
