Fit & Factory Deductions
We will make all the necessary deductions based on the measurements you provide. Do not make your own deductions. Don’t add to the width to make up for any deductions that we will take. For more light coverage, choose an outside mount. See the deductions chart for the deductions per collection.
No Drill
- IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If any No-Drill Blinds option is chosen, take all three standard width measurements (top, middle, bottom) to check for variance, but be sure to input the exact measurement of the top of your window frame into the width field. Compare the three measurements, and if the variance between them exceeds 1/4", No-Drill Blinds may not fit properly.
- Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds and Built-In No-Drill Blinds are Inside Mount only and require 2 1/2" of depth for installation. Not recommended for PVC or metal window frames.
- Factory will deduct approximately 5/8" off the width of the Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds headrail, and 1/4" off the width of the Built In No-Drill Blinds headrail.
- Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds headrail is white-only and remains visible after installation, with or without a valance.
- Built In No-Drill Blinds headrail is fabric-wrapped to match the shade and is fully concealed after installation.
- All No-Drill Blinds headrail locking mechanisms are positioned opposite the control side for Continuous Cord Loop. For Cordless and Motorized options, it is always on the right side.
- Built In No-Drill Blinds shades include slight excess fabric on the sides to cover the locking mechanism and reduce light gaps.
Good to Know
- Deductions may vary +/- 1/8". Do not account for factory deductions when measuring for your shade. Deduction information detailed in the table below.
- Fabric color may vary between dye lots. To ensure consistency, order all shades for the same room at the same time.
- Pleat sizes may vary when ordering multiple shades of different heights. To ensure uniformity, order all shades at the longest length needed and with the same lift system.
- Fabric-wrapped headrails are exclusive to the Cordless lift. Continuous Cord Loop and Motorized lift options have metal headrails with fabric attached to the front only.
- The 6" valance upgrade positions fabric behind the headrail, closer to the wall, fully covering the headrail.
- Only Outside Mount shades ordered with a 6" valance will include valance returns.
- Cordless shades without a 6" valance include a mini-valance on the back to conceal the mechanism.
- If no valance is selected, fabric falls over the top of the headrail (waterfall style) and may sit 2+ inches from the wall on outside mounts. To minimize light gaps, add 4+ inches to the width of outside-mounted shades.
- The mini-valance color matches the liner or, if no liner is chosen, the shade color.
- Blackout liner is standard in ivory, and both standard and blackout liners are visible from the street. Unlined shades will display their natural fabric color from the exterior.
- Hold down brackets are not available on this product.
- Material will always cover a portion of your window, even when fully raised. Please call in for considerations.
- Motorized options are powered by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, which will be shipped at or below 30% charge for safety. Fully charge your shades before use for optimal performance.
- The safety device is required by law and must be applied on chain loops and prevents free-hanging loops in operating chains. Install the safety device at the maximum distance possible from the control mechanism to prevent slack in the loop.
- Shades over 59" in width will have vertical seams.
- Fabric Roman shades may develop wrinkles after installation. Most will smooth out in a few days, or a garment steamer can be used on the back of the shade (avoid direct contact with fabric).
SelectConnect Bridge
- The SelectConnect Bridge is compatible with almost all Motorization systems we offer. (Not compatible with Panel Tracks, Wood Blinds, or the SelectBlinds Automation system)
- The SelectConnect Bridge is only compatible with remote-operated shades. (shades that use both Wand + Remote are compatible, Wand-only shades are not compatible)
- You must have Wi-Fi access in areas where products are installed for controller to work.
- Download of free Bond Home App on iOS (Apple) or Android devices required.
- Controller range is approximately 150' or 30 blinds/shades. One controller per floor is recommended for use in typical size homes. However, multiple units may be needed for full coverage depending on the location of window coverings and the layout and construction materials of your home.
- Please note this product is not covered under our FIT Guarantee.
- Please note this product is not eligible for returns or refunds unless deemed defective. Contact Customer Service for more details.
Remote Motorization
- At least one remote is needed per order. The 5-channel remote allows you to operate up to 5 shades on a single frequency and the 15-channel remote allows you to operate up to 15 shades on a single frequency. When adding a multi-channel/frequency remote, please select 'No Remote' for any additional motorized shades you want to add and power with.
- Motorization limits are preset during production.
- Rechargeable remote-control Motorization lift system upgrade includes rechargeable motor battery and charger.
- Battery charge will last up to 6 months based on an average-sized shade raised and lowered twice a day. It takes approximately 4 hours to recharge the motor when fully depleted.
- Remote reaches from approximately 65-80 feet away from shade.

Inside Mount Instructions
To ensure an inside mount will work for your window, start by checking that you have enough mounting depth. You can find the exact requirements under the “Specifications” tab on the product page of the item you are considering.
Measuring the Width
- Begin by measuring the width of the window. Measure from left to right and measure at the top, middle, and then bottom of the window.
- Write down the narrowest width of the 3 measurements down to the closest 1/8".
- If you are getting a 1/16" or 1/32" increment, round down to the nearest 1/8". (For example, if the narrowest measurement is 24 9/16", round down to 24 1/2". If it's 24 3/8", no need to round down.)
- This is the width you will need to order for your window.
Measuring the height
- Measure the height from top to bottom, starting at the top left, then moving to the center, and then measuring from the top right to the window sill
- Document the largest height out of the 3 measurements up to the closest 1/8".
- If you are getting a 1/16" or 1/32" increment, round up to the nearest 1/8". (For Example, If the largest measurement is 24 9/16", round up to 24 5/8". If it's 24 1/2", no need to round up.)
- If you have several windows in a room that are all very similar in height, order all of them at the largest height to ensure similar pleat sizes.
Outside Mount Instructions
An outside mount is a great choice for better light coverage, since it fully covers the window and frame. To get the right fit, you’ll need to account for a few extra measurements when placing your order. We’ll custom make your shade to the exact dimensions you provide—no automatic additions are made.
Flat Surface Requirements
Start by choosing where you’d like to mount your shade. You’ll need at least 1-2½” of flat mounting space. For more details, check the product page and review the “Specifications” tab.
Measuring the width
- For the width, measure the window opening in three places (top, middle, and bottom), and use the widest of the three measurements.
- You’ll use that measurement and add the recommended minimum of 4 inches. This will ensure the window is properly covered.
- Use this width when ordering.
Measuring the height
- Measure the top left, center, and top right of the window to find the height.
- You’ll use the largest of the three measurements and add the recommended minimum of 4 inches. This will ensure the window is properly covered.
- If you have several windows in a room that are all similar in height, order all of them at the largest height to ensure similar pleats.
Measuring Tips
- Use a steel measuring tape
- If you get a 1/16" or 1/32" increment for width, round down to the nearest 1/8"
- SelectBlinds applies all necessary deductions; do not adjust width.
