Fit & Factory Deductions
We will make all the necessary deductions based on the measurements you provide. Do not make your own deductions. Don’t add to the width to make up for any deductions that we will take. For more light coverage, choose an outside mount. See the deductions chart for the deductions per collection.
Recommendations
- For inside mount, measure your window in three places (top, middle, bottom) and use the top measurement when ordering. Don’t worry about factory adjustments—we handle that for you.
- Inside mounted shades may have slight gaps on the sides or top. For better light coverage, consider an outside mount.
- Some options require additional mounting depth and may not be compatible with all window frames. Be sure your window meets the requirements before ordering.
- For a safer, clutter-free space, choose cordless or motorized options—perfect for homes with children and pets. Motorized shades arrive partially charged and should be recharged before first use.
- Most cellular shades include a neutral white backing and color-coordinated components. Small gaps are normal due to standard factory deductions (±1/8"), along with slight color variations or minor adjustments over time.
No Drill
- Mounting adhesive is most effective on smooth, clean surfaces, and is less effective on textured wall surfaces or raw wood. For any application, clean the surface well and allow it to dry fully before mounting for best adhesion.

Inside Mount Instructions
To ensure an inside mount will work for your window, start by checking that you have enough mounting depth. You can find the exact requirements under the “Specifications” tab on the product page of the item you are considering.
Removal Tip When it’s time to remove your No Drill Stick On shade, the adhesive is designed to release safely when removed properly. Here are a few simple, wall-friendly options to consider:
- Use gentle heat. Warm the adhesive with a hair dryer for 20 to 30 seconds to soften the bond, then slowly peel from one corner.
- Loosen with alcohol. Apply a small amount of rubbing alcohol along the edge where the adhesive meets the wall as you peel to help release it cleanly.
- Separate with floss or fishing line. Slide dental floss or fishing line behind the adhesive and use a gentle sawing motion to separate it from the wall.
After removal, any remaining residue can typically be rubbed away with a soft cloth. Always test in an inconspicuous area if you have concerns about your wall surface or paint.
Measuring the Width
- To determine the width, measure from left to right on the top, middle, and the bottom. Use the smallest width out of those numbers.
- If you get a 1/16” or 1/32” increment, round down to the nearest 1/8”. (For example, if the smallest measurement is 24 9/16", round down to 24 1/2". If it's 24 3/8", no need to round down.)
- This is the width you will use when ordering.
Measuring the Height
- To determine the height, measure from top to bottom on the top left, then the center of the window, and then the top right to the bottom of the window sill. Use the largest height out of those numbers.
- If you get a 1/16” or 1/32” increment, round up to the nearest 1/8”. (For Example, If the largest measurement is 24 9/16", round up to 24 5/8". If it's 24 1/2", no need to round up.)
- This is the height you will use when ordering.
Outside Mount Instructions
An outside mount is a great choice for better light coverage, since it fully covers the window and frame. To get the right fit, you’ll need to account for a few extra measurements when placing your order. We’ll custom make your shade to the exact dimensions you provide—no automatic additions are made. Flat Surface Requirements Start by choosing where you’d like to mount your shade. You’ll need at least 1-2½” of flat mounting space. For more details, check the product page and review the “Specifications” tab.

Measuring the Height
- Measuring the height is easy. Simply measure the height of the window in three places, including the top left, the middle, and the top right, all ending at the bottom of the sill. You’ll use the largest of the three measurements and add the recommended minimum of 4 inches. This will ensure the window is properly covered.
- The final number you come up with will be the height you use when placing your order.
