Fit & Factory Deductions
We will make all the necessary deductions based on the measurements you provide. Do not make your own deductions. Don’t add to the width to make up for any deductions that we will take. For more light coverage, choose an outside mount. See the deductions chart for the deductions per collection.
No Drill
- IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds is chosen, take all three standard width measurements (top, middle, bottom) to check for variance, but be sure to input the exact measurement of the top of your window frame into the width field. Compare the three measurements, and if the variance between them exceeds 1/4", Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds may not fit properly.
- The Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds option is only available for Inside Mount, and requires 2 1/2" of depth to install. It is not recommended for use with PVC window frames.
- Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds headrail is available in white, vanilla, grey, brown, and black and will be visible after installation.
Good to Know
- Deductions may vary +/- 1/8". Do not account for factory deductions when measuring for your shade.
- All colors are available with a liner on the back of the shade.
- This product comes as a standard roll, meaning the fabric will fall from the back side of the roller tube.
- Cordless Lift is not available with Fabric Wrapped Hem Bar
- Continuous Cord Loop above 32" in height comes with a plastic bead chain and tensioner. Shades shorter than 32" in height require a metal chain.
- Cassette/Headrail color coordinated to fabric selected.
- Cassette with fabric insert features the same fabric used for the shade. The insert fabric runs in the same direction as the shade's fabric.
- Exposed roll bracket covers will be either black or white based on the fabric chosen.
- Choose from a Fabric Wrapped Bottom Hem Bar or Fabric Wrapped Bottom Rail.
- The Fabric-Wrapped Bottom Rail features a curved, fabric-wrapped front, with a flat, unwrapped back.
- Fabric-Wrapped Hem Bars is an aluminum bar inserted and heat-sealed with wrapped fabric.
- Bottom rails are color-coordinated based on the fabric chosen.
- The bottom rail endcaps extend approximately ¼" beyond the fabric width.
- Fabric Wrapped Hem Bar is recommended for larger and wider shades.
- Aluminum Light-Blocking Side & Bottom tracks prevent light leaks around the edges and bottom of the shade.
- Light Block Side & Bottom Tracks are only available with Inside Mount.
- Motorized wand is color-coordinated to your selected color.
- To ensure color consistency and minimize dye lot variation, order all shades for the same room at the same time.
- The safety device is required by law and must be applied on chain loops and prevents free-hanging loops in operating chains. Install the safety device at the maximum distance possible from the control mechanism to prevent slack in the loop.
- Spacer blocks are available. Please contact us for assistance with adding them to your order.
- Motorized options are powered by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, which will be shipped at or below 30% charge for safety. Fully charge your shades before use for optimal performance.
SelectConnect Bridge
- SelectBlinds Automation is not compatible with the SelectConnect Bridge.
Remote Motorization
- SelectBlinds Automation is our latest innovation in motorized control, offering seamless two-way communication between your smartphone and shades, with support for unlimited shades, customizable scenes, and flexible timers.
- For an average-sized shade under typical usage (raising and lowering once per day) the internal rechargeable battery will last around 6 months. BThe battery can be recharged up to 500 times. It takes approximately 7 hours to recharge the motor when fully depleted.
- The internal rechargeable battery requires a 5V DC compatible charger, which is sold separately as a charging kit. The kit is available in white only and includes a power block and a 120” charging cable equipped with a USB-C connection. At least one charging kit should be added to your order,
- The 5-channel remote can control up to 10 individual window treatments. Motorization lift system upgrade does not include remote. A remote is not required for system operation, but if remote control operation is desired, we recommend adding one remote to your order for every room of shades.
- Add a Solar Panel to your order to keep your shades charged automatically, reducing the need for manual charging and battery maintenance. This convenient, energy-efficient option utilizes solar energy captured at the window and offers flexible mounting options. Product specifications and installation instructions are available here.
- The Wall Mount Kit includes a wall bracket, magnetic wall plate, 2 screws, and 2 drywall anchors. The wall bracket can be installed with provided screws or with 3M Command Strips (not provided) for flexible installation.
- Never lose your remote again! The Remote Wall Mount is simple to install and provides a convenient magnetic home for your remote.
- Programming for your shades and accessories is done in the SelectBlinds Automation App. Refer to the motorization guide linked below for more information.
- Add a SelectBlinds Automation Bridge to unlock the full potential of your automated system, enhancing connectivity, extending range, and enabling seamless integration with leading smart home platforms. Enjoy hands-free control through Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and SmartThings — all powered by Matter for a secure, effortless, and future-ready smart home experience.
- The SelectBlinds Automation Bridge supports control of up to 15 shades per home and allows secure remote access through the SelectBlinds Automation App, letting you adjust your shades from anywhere in the world. Currently, only one bridge can be used per home network, with multi-bridge support planned for future updates.
- Improve performance and responsiveness when controlling multiple shades throughout your home. The Bridge enhances range, ensures precise alignment for grouped shades, and keeps your timers accurate by automatically syncing each shade’s internal clock.

Inside Mount Instructions
To ensure an inside mount will work for your window, start by checking that you have enough mounting depth. You can find the exact requirements under the “Specifications” tab on the product page of the item you are considering.
Measuring the width
- The width measurement is taken from the inside edge of the window frame at the top.
- If you are getting a 1/16” or 1/32” increment, round down to the nearest 1/8”. (For example, if the smallest measurement is 24 9/16", round down to 24 1/2". If it's 24 3/8", no need to round down.)
- This will be the width you order.
Measuring the height
- The height measurement is taken from the window frame in three places (top left, center, and top right down to the window sill).
- Record the largest height out of the 3 measurements up to the nearest 1/8”.
- If you are getting a 1/16” or 1/32” increment, round up to the nearest 1/8”. (For Example, If the largest measurement is 24 9/16", round up to 24 5/8". If it's 24 1/2", no need to round up.)
- This will be the height you order.
Outside Mount Instructions
An outside mount is a great choice for better light coverage, since it fully covers the window and frame. To get the right fit, you’ll need to account for a few extra measurements when placing your order. We’ll custom make your shade to the exact dimensions you provide—no automatic additions are made.
Flat Surface Requirements
Start by choosing where you’d like to mount your shade. You’ll need at least 1-2½” of flat mounting space. For more details, check the product page and review the “Specifications” tab.
Measuring the width
- When measuring the window’s width, take the measurement at the top of the window frame.
- You’ll use that measurement and add the recommended minimum of 4 inches. This will ensure the window is properly covered.
- Now you have the perfect width and you’re ready to order.
Measuring the height
- When measuring the window’s height, take it from three locations: the left, center, and the right.
- You’ll use the largest of the three measurements and add the recommended minimum of 4 inches. This will ensure the window is properly covered.

Measuring Tips
- Use a steel measuring tape
