Fit & Factory Deductions
We will make all the necessary deductions based on the measurements you provide. Do not make your own deductions. Don’t add to the width to make up for any deductions that we will take. For more light coverage, choose an outside mount. See the deductions chart for the deductions per collection.
Recommendations
- Deductions may vary +/- 1/8". Do not account for factory deductions when measuring for your shade. Deduction information detailed in the table below.
- For all mounting types, fabric will measure exactly the length ordered when the vanes are in the closed position. When the vanes are rotated open, the shade will become slightly longer.
No Drill
- IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If No-Drill Blinds Headrail is chosen, measure the exact width of the top of your window frame and input those dimensions into the width field. Do NOT take the smallest of three measurements, which may cause your No-Drill Blinds Headrail not to fit properly.
- The No-Drill Blinds Headrail option is only available for Inside Mount, and requires 2 1/2" of depth to install. It is not recommended for use with PVC window frames.
- When No-Drill Blinds Headrail is ordered, factory will deduct 1/2” off of the width and height of your fabric.
- No-Drill Blinds Headrail is only available in the color white and will be visible after installation.
- Factory will deduct approximately 5/8” off of the No-Drill Blinds Headrail, regardless of lift style.
Good to Know
- The safety device is required by law and must be applied on chain loops and prevents free-hanging loops in operating chains. Install the safety device at the maximum distance possible from the control mechanism to prevent slack in the loop.
- This collection is Greenguard Gold certified, meaning it has been tested and verified to meet strict chemical emissions standards, ensuring healthier indoor air quality.
- Continuous Cord Loop has a nickel chain.
- Cassette with color-coordinated fabric insert comes standard. Cassette style varies based on lift style chosen.
SelectConnect Bridge
- The SelectConnect Bridge is compatible with almost all Motorization systems we offer. (Not compatible with Panel Tracks, Wood Blinds, or the SelectBlinds Automation system)
- The SelectConnect Bridge is only compatible with remote-operated shades. (shades that use both Wand + Remote are compatible, Wand-only shades are not compatible)
- SelectConnect bridge does not support favorite positions, and in the case of Sheer Shades will only work to fully raise the shade or fully lower the shade with slats tilted open for visibility. For a lower stopping point with the slats closed for privacy, this can only be set and controlled via remote, or with the Tuiss SmartView app (Not compatible with the SelectConnect Bridge or Bond Home app)
- You must have Wi-Fi access in areas where products are installed for controller to work.
- Download of free Bond Home App on iOS (Apple) or Android devices required.
- Controller range is approximately 150' or 30 blinds/shades. One controller per floor is recommended for use in typical size homes. However, multiple units may be needed for full coverage depending on the location of window coverings and the layout and construction materials of your home.

Remote Motorization
- At least one remote is needed per order. The 5-channel remote allows you to operate up to 5 shades on a single frequency and the 15-channel remote allows you to operate up to 15 shades on a single frequency. When adding a multi-channel/frequency remote, please select 'No Remote' for any additional motorized shades you want to add and power with.
- Remote will operate shade up to 65-80 feet away

- A full battery charge will last up to 4 months based on an average-sized shade raised and lowered once a day. It takes approximately 4 hours to recharge the motor when fully depleted
- Motorized shades ship in "transportation" mode to prevent shade from accidentally operating. After installation the motor needs to be activated. See instructions to activate shade
- Remote comes programmed to the shade. If multiple shades are ordered they will all come programmed to the remote. One remote per room is recommended for convenience

Inside Mount Instructions
To ensure an inside mount will work for your window, start by checking that you have enough mounting depth. You can find the exact requirements under the “Specifications” tab on the product page of the item you are considering.
Measuring the width
- The width measurement is found by measuring the inside of the window frame in three locations – the top, middle, and bottom. Choose the smallest of these measurements.
- If you get a 1/16" or 1/32" increment, round down to the nearest 1/8". (For example, if the smallest measurement is 24 9/16", round down to 24 1/2". If it's 24 3/8", no need to round down.)
- And that’s it! That’s the width measurement you’ll use when placing your order for sheer shades.

- The height measurement is found by measuring the inside of the window frame in three locations – the top left, center, and the top right. Choose the largest of these measurements.
- If you get a 1/16" or 1/32" increment, round up to the nearest 1/8". (For example, if the largest measurement is 24 9/16", round up to 24 5/8". If it's 24 1/2", no need to round up.)

Outside Mount Instructions
An outside mount is a great choice for better light coverage, since it fully covers the window and frame. To get the right fit, you’ll need to account for a few extra measurements when placing your order. We’ll custom make your shade to the exact dimensions you provide—no automatic additions are made.
Flat Surface Requirements
Start by choosing where you’d like to mount your shade. You’ll need at least 1-2½” of flat mounting space. For more details, check the product page and review the “Specifications” tab.
Measuring the width
- The width is found by measuring the top, middle, and bottom of the window.
- You’ll use that measurement and add the recommended minimum of 4 inches. This will ensure the window is properly covered.
- Here’s your width for your sheer shades.

- The height is found by measuring the top left of the window to the bottom, the middle, and the top left.
- You’ll use the largest of the three measurements and add the recommended minimum of 4 inches. This will ensure the window is properly covered.
