It took me about a week to find these blinds after looking for something reasonably priced. I found these for a great price, and bought 3 matching for my bedrooms. I bought all inside mount.
First thought-great quality for the price. This is my first pair of cordless blinds, but it seems to be going up and down smoothly and strong. Worried about long term use, but will find out. Out of the box, not much other than brackets, instructions, and the blinds.
Install-this was a little frustrating, though after the first one I found a strategy that worked for me. For one, I couldn’t screw in the outer brackets using a screw gun, as it was too close to the window frame, so the slow screwdriver method was the way to go.
When I went to put the blinds on, they were bending and not wanting to snap into place into the middle support brackets. I double checked that what I did was correct, but it still wouldn’t go all the way in unless I bent the frame. After giving careful consideration, I found the solution was to loosen the middle support brackets, and that allowed enough space to fully sit in. So make sure if you are installing these, loosen the middle brackets just slightly enough to wiggle or else it will not snap in, the outer brackets I could leave snug.
Cons-I will say I’m upset that the dimensions I gave are not quite accurate to what I was sent. The width was correct (they shaved 1/2” or so) but the length I sent was not accurate to what I received. The blinds are JUST too long, maybe about 1-2 inches or so, and perhaps that’s because of my window frame size, maybe not. But, with the blind all the way down touching the frame, the blind still has more to go. Because of this, when you “fold” the blinds, the tops close all the way but the bottoms don’t and allow quite a bit of light in. I can live with it, but I wish the length was accurate to what I sent.
Also, it has no wood texture, so that’s false advertising.
Overall, great for the price! Just a little tweaking on the install with the brackets and everything after was smooth sailing. You won’t be able to find much better for the price. I wish they still made corded blinds, but everything is going in this direction.
