Fit & Factory Deductions

Recommendations

For inside mount, measure your window in three places (top, middle, bottom) and use the top measurement when ordering. Don’t worry about factory adjustments—we handle that for you.
Inside mounted shades may have slight gaps on the sides or top. For better light coverage, consider an outside mount.
Some options require additional mounting depth and may not be compatible with all window frames. Be sure your window meets the requirements before ordering.
For a safer, clutter-free space, choose cordless or motorized options—perfect for homes with children and pets. Motorized shades arrive partially charged and should be recharged before first use.
Most cellular shades include a neutral white backing and color-coordinated components. Small gaps are normal due to standard factory deductions (±1/8"), along with slight color variations or minor adjustments over time.

No Drill

IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If any No-Drill Blinds option is chosen, take all three standard width measurements (top, middle, bottom) to check for variance, but be sure to input the exact measurement of the top of your window frame into the width field. Compare the three measurements, and if the variance between them exceeds 1/4", No-Drill Blinds may not fit properly.
The Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds and Built In No-Drill Blinds options are only available for Inside Mount, require 2 1/2" of depth to install, and are not recommended for use with PVC window frames.
Factory will deduct approximately 5/8 inch from the provided width on inside mount orders with the Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds headrail and 1/4" off the width of the Built In No-Drill Blinds headrail to ensure a proper fit.
No-Drill Blinds Headrail is only available in the color white and will be visible after installation, with or without valance.
The Built In No-Drill Blinds headrail features a fabric insert that matches the material of the shade and is not visible after installation.

Good to Know

Always lift and lower cordless products with both hands to avoid unleveling and the need for re-leveling.
Motorized options are powered by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, which will be shipped at or below 30% charge for safety. Fully charge your shades before use for optimal performance.
Deductions may vary +/- 1/8". Do not account for factory deductions when measuring for your shade. Deduction information detailed in the table below.
The back of the product comes white to conform with HOA standards.
Hold down brackets and extension brackets are not available for this product.
Not a 100% light-blocking product. Note there will be slight gaps on sides due to fabric deductions when inside mount is selected. For more light blockage, consider ordering as outside mount.

Motorization

Remote Motorization

Remote is already programmed to the motorized shade. All that is required is to connect the battery to the motor and your shade is ready to operate.
Rechargeable remote-control Motorization lift system upgrade includes rechargeable motor battery and charger.
Motorization limits are preset during production.
Battery charge will last up to 6 months based on an average-sized shade raised and lowered twice a day. It takes approximately 4 hours to recharge the motor when fully depleted.
Remote reaches from approximately 65-80 feet away from shade.
At least one remote is needed per order. The 5-channel remote allows you to operate up to 5 shades on a single frequency and the 15-channel remote allows you to operate up to 15 shades on a single frequency. When adding a multi-channel/frequency remote, please select 'No Remote' for any additional motorized shades you want to add and power with.

Inside Mount Instructions

Measuring the width

To determine the width, measure from left to right on the top, middle, and the bottom. Use the smallest width out of those numbers.
If you get a 1/16” or 1/32” increment, round down to the nearest 1/8”. (For example, if the smallest measurement is 24 9/16", round down to 24 1/2". If it's 24 3/8", no need to round down.)
This is the width you will use when ordering.

Measuring the height

To determine the height, measure from top to bottom on the top left, then the center of the window, and then the top right to the bottom of the window sill. Use the largest height out of those numbers.

This is the height you will use when ordering.

Outside Mount Instructions

An outside mount is a great choice for better light coverage, since it fully covers the window and frame. To get the right fit, you’ll need to account for a few extra measurements when placing your order. We’ll custom make your shade to the exact dimensions you provide—no automatic additions are made.

Flat Surface Requirements

Start by choosing where you’d like to mount your shade. You’ll need at least 1-2½” of flat mounting space. For more details, check the product page and review the “Specifications” tab.

Measuring the width

Begin by measuring the exact width of the window opening in three main places (top, middle, and bottom).
Record the largest width out of the 3 measurements.
You’ll use that measurement and add the recommended minimum of 4 inches. This will ensure the window is properly covered. For more light coverage and privacy, add even more to the measurement.
When ordering, use this final number for the width.

Measuring the height

Measuring the height is easy. Simply measure the height of the window in three places, including the top left, the middle, and the top right, all ending at the bottom of the sill. You’ll use the largest of the three measurements and add the recommended minimum of 4 inches. This will ensure the window is properly covered.
The final number you come up with will be the height you use when placing your order.
