Recommendations
- For inside mount, measure your window in three places (top, middle, bottom) and use the top measurement when ordering. Don’t worry about factory adjustments—we handle that for you.
- Inside mounted shades may have slight gaps on the sides or top. For better light coverage, consider an outside mount.
- Most cellular shades include a neutral white backing and color-coordinated components. Small gaps are normal due to standard factory deductions (±1/8"), along with slight color variations or minor adjustments over time.
- Clean the mounting surface with a household cleaner before installation. Use the included alcohol wipe for final surface sanitation only.
- Reaches full strength after 24 hours. Ensure the surface is clean, flat, and dry. Painted surfaces must be in good condition.
Good to Know
- Deductions may vary +/- 1/8". Do not account for factory deductions when measuring for your shade. Deduction information detailed in the table below.
- Adhesive strip adheres to: Aluminum, wood, PVC, vinyl, and painted walls.
- White aluminum headrail and bottom rail for: Mountain Air, Ivory Haze, Ecru Essence, Ivory Mist, Basic Beige, Rustic Mauve, Harvest Hue, Celeste Blue, Creamy Cloud, Hazy Grey.
- Dark aluminum headrail and bottom rail for: Wood Grain, Grasslands, Olive Branch, Pine Grove, Smokey Blue, Fountain Stone, Meadow Mist, Stone Path.
- Mounting, extension, and hold-down brackets are not available. Product mounts only via adhesive strip.
- Clear plastic handle(s) included (quantity based on width).
- Fabrics are 100% Polyester.
- Back of fabric is white to conform with HOA standards.

Inside Mount Instructions
To ensure an inside mount will work for your window, start by checking that you have enough mounting depth. You can find the exact requirements under the “Specifications” tab on the product page of the item you are considering.
Removal Tip
When it’s time to remove your Stick2Fit shade, the adhesive is designed to release safely when removed properly. Here are a few simple, wall-friendly options to consider:
- Use gentle heat. Warm the adhesive with a hair dryer for 20 to 30 seconds to soften the bond, then slowly peel from one corner.
- Loosen with alcohol. Apply a small amount of rubbing alcohol along the edge where the adhesive meets the wall as you peel to help release it cleanly.
- Separate with floss or fishing line. Slide dental floss or fishing line behind the adhesive and use a gentle sawing motion to separate it from the wall.
After removal, any remaining residue can typically be rubbed away with a soft cloth. Always test in an inconspicuous area if you have concerns about your wall surface or paint.
Measuring the width
- To determine the width, measure from left to right on the top, middle, and the bottom. Use the smallest width out of those numbers.
- If you get a 1/16” or 1/32” increment, round down to the nearest 1/8”. (For example, if the smallest measurement is 24 9/16", round down to 24 1/2". If it's 24 3/8", no need to round down.)
- This is the width you will use when ordering.
Measuring the height
- To determine the height, measure from top to bottom on the top left, then the center of the window, and then the top right to the bottom of the window sill. Use the largest height out of those numbers.
- If you get a 1/16” or 1/32” increment, round up to the nearest 1/8”. (For Example, If the largest measurement is 24 9/16", round up to 24 5/8". If it's 24 1/2", no need to round up.)
- This is the height you will use when ordering.
Outside Mount Instructions
An outside mount is a great choice for better light coverage, since it fully covers the window and frame. To get the right fit, you’ll need to account for a few extra measurements when placing your order. We’ll custom make your shade to the exact dimensions you provide—no automatic additions are made.
Flat Surface Requirements
Start by choosing where you’d like to mount your shade. You’ll need at least 1-2½” of flat mounting space. For more details, check the product page and review the “Specifications” tab.

Measuring the height
- Measuring the height is easy. Simply measure the height of the window in three places, including the top left, the middle, and the top right, all ending at the bottom of the sill. You’ll use the largest of the three measurements and add the recommended minimum of 4 inches. This will ensure the window is properly covered.
- The final number you come up with will be the height you use when placing your order.
