Recommendations
- Deductions may vary +/- 1/8". Do not account for factory deductions when measuring for your shade. Deduction information detailed in the table below.
- Products come with extra fabric to conceal the roller tube.
- To ensure color consistency and minimize dye lot variation, order all shades for the same room at the same time.
No Drill
- IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If o-Drill Blinds Headrail is chosen, take all three standard width measurements (top, middle, bottom) to check for variance, but be sure to input the exact measurement of the top of your window frame into the width field. Compare the three measurements, and if the variance between them exceeds 1/4", No-Drill Blinds Headrail may not fit properly.
- The No-Drill Blinds Headrail option is only available for Inside Mount, requires 2 1/2" of depth to install, and is not recommended for use with PVC window frames.
- Factory will deduct approximately 5/8" off the width of the No-Drill Blinds Headrail.
- No-Drill Blinds Headrail is only available in the color white and will be visible after installation, with or without valance.
- The locking mechanism on the No-Drill Blinds Headrail will be located on the opposite end of the control side selected for Continuous Cord Loop. The locking mechanism will be located on the right side for Cordless and Motorized options.
Good to Know
- Shades ordered as outside mount with exposed roll will show the hardware brackets, regardless of the roll position selected.
- Cordless lift system in a reverse roll with an exposed headrail and outside mount will require flipping the right-side bracket during installation. This will result in screws being exposed once the shade is fully installed.
- We recommend reverse roll for inside mount only. If outside mounted, a large light gap is created.
- The Continuous Cord Loop tensioner can be side or back mounted.
- Continuous cord loop will be color coordinated to the fabric.
- Products come with 12" of extra fabric to conceal the roller tube.
- The back of the product comes white to conform with HOA standards.
- Essential colors are not an exact match with the light filtering product. Order samples to ensure you get the color you want. This does not apply to the Blackout Sheer Weave fabrics.
- Shades over 94" wide and over 82" in height will have a horizontal seam. Seam is placed as high as possible on shade so, in most cases, it remains hidden.
- The safety device is required by law and must be applied on chain loops and prevents free-hanging loops in operating chains. Install the safety device at the maximum distance possible from the control mechanism to prevent slack in the loop.
- Shades over 94" wide and 82" tall will have a horizontal seam. The seam is placed as high as possible on the shade.

- Improve performance and responsiveness when controlling multiple shades throughout your home. The Bridge enhances range, ensures precise alignment for grouped shades, and keeps your timers accurate by automatically syncing each shade’s internal clock.
SelectBlinds Automation
- SelectBlinds Automation is our latest innovation in motorized control, offering seamless two-way communication between your smartphone and shades, with support for unlimited shades, customizable scenes, and flexible timers.
- For an average-sized shade under typical usage (raising and lowering once per day) the internal rechargeable battery will last around 6 months. BThe battery can be recharged up to 500 times. It takes approximately 7 hours to recharge the motor when fully depleted.
- The internal rechargeable battery requires a 5V DC compatible charger, which is sold separately as a charging kit. The kit is available in white only and includes a power block and a 120” charging cable equipped with a USB-C connection. At least one charging kit should be added to your order,
- The 5-channel remote can control up to 10 individual window treatments. Motorization lift system upgrade does not include remote. A remote is not required for system operation, but if remote control operation is desired, we recommend adding one remote to your order for every room of shades.
- The Wall Mount Kit includes a wall bracket, magnetic wall plate, 2 screws, and 2 drywall anchors. The wall bracket can be installed with provided screws or with 3M Command Strips (not provided) for flexible installation.
- Never lose your remote again! The Remote Wall Mount is simple to install and provides a convenient magnetic home for your remote.
- Programming for your shades and accessories is done in the SelectBlinds Automation App. Refer to the motorization guide linked below for more information.

Inside Mount Instructions
To ensure an inside mount will work for your window, start by checking that you have enough mounting depth. You can find the exact requirements under the “Specifications” tab on the product page of the item you are considering.
Measuring the width
- The width measurement is taken from the inside edge of the window frame at the top.
- If you are getting a 1/16” or 1/32” increment, round down to the nearest 1/8”. (For example, if the smallest measurement is 24 9/16", round down to 24 1/2". If it's 24 3/8", no need to round down.)
- This will be the width you order.
Measuring the height
- The height measurement is taken from the window frame in three places (top left, center, and top right down to the window sill).
- Record the largest height out of the 3 measurements up to the nearest 1/8”.
- If you are getting a 1/16” or 1/32” increment, round up to the nearest 1/8”. (For Example, If the largest measurement is 24 9/16", round up to 24 5/8". If it's 24 1/2", no need to round up.)
- This will be the height you order.
Outside Mount Instructions
An outside mount is a great choice for better light coverage, since it fully covers the window and frame. To get the right fit, you’ll need to account for a few extra measurements when placing your order. We’ll custom make your shade to the exact dimensions you provide—no automatic additions are made.
Flat Surface Requirements
Start by choosing where you’d like to mount your shade. You’ll need at least 1-2½” of flat mounting space. For more details, check the product page and review the “Specifications” tab.
Measuring the width
- When measuring the window’s width, take the measurement at the top of the window frame.
- You’ll use that measurement and add the recommended minimum of 4 inches. This will ensure the window is properly covered.
- Now you have the perfect width and you’re ready to order.
Measuring the height
- When measuring the window’s height, take it from three locations: the left, center, and the right.
- You’ll use the largest of the three measurements and add the recommended minimum of 4 inches. This will ensure the window is properly covered.

Measuring Tips
- Use a steel measuring tape
