Recommendations
- For inside mount, measure your window in three places (top, middle, bottom) and use the top measurement when ordering. Don’t worry about factory adjustments—we handle that for you.
- Inside mounted shades may have slight gaps on the sides or top. For better light coverage, consider an outside mount.
- Some options require additional mounting depth and may not be compatible with all window frames. Be sure your window meets the requirements before ordering.
- For a safer, clutter-free space, choose cordless or motorized options—perfect for homes with children and pets. Motorized shades arrive partially charged and should be recharged before first use.
- Most cellular shades include a neutral white backing and color-coordinated components. Small gaps are normal due to standard factory deductions (±1/8"), along with slight color variations or minor adjustments over time.
No Drill
- IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds is chosen, take all three standard width measurements (top, middle, bottom) to check for variance, but be sure to input the exact measurement of the top of your window frame into the width field. Compare the three measurements, and if the variance between them exceeds 1/4", Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds may not fit properly.
- Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds is only available for Inside Mount, and requires 1 1/2" or 2 1/2" of depth to install based on option selected. It is not recommended for use with PVC window frames.
- Factory will deduct approximately 1/4" off of the Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds headrail, regardless of lift style.
- Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds headrail is only available in the color White, Vanilla, Grey, Brown, and Black, and will be visible after installation.
- The locking mechanism on the Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds headrail will be located on the right side for each lift style.
- Cordless Lift & Lock and Cordless Lift & Lock™ Top Down Bottom Up with Click2Fit No-Drill Blinds is only available with 2 1/2" or more window depth.
Good to Know
- Standard headrails and bottom rails will vary based on lift style. It is recommended to order the same lift system for shades in the same room.
- Wand pendant is 2 1/2" long and does not need to be mounted to the wall to operate the shade.
- Standard inside mount brackets are top mounted.
- The safety device is required by law and must be applied on chain loops and prevents free-hanging loops in operating chains. Install the safety device at the maximum distance possible from the control mechanism to prevent slack in the loop.
- All lift systems will have matching fabric-wrapped headrails.
- The back of the shade is white to conform with HOA standards.
- Coverings 12" and under have a max height of 80".
- Cordless Lift & Lock™ Top Down Bottom Up products come with attached magnets and striker plates in center to provide tight closure. Shades over 42" wide will have striker plates approximately 4" from the edges.
- Striker plate will always be white, color coordination is not available.
- Hold down brackets available upon request for inside mount: Additional 1/2" headrail deduction taken at factory when adding hold down brackets.

SelectBlinds Automation
- SelectBlinds Automation is our latest innovation in motorized control, offering seamless two-way communication between your smartphone and shades, with support for unlimited shades, customizable scenes, and flexible timers.
- For an average-sized shade under typical usage (raising and lowering once per day) the internal rechargeable battery will last around 6 months. BThe battery can be recharged up to 500 times. It takes approximately 7 hours to recharge the motor when fully depleted.
- The internal rechargeable battery requires a 5V DC compatible charger, which is sold separately as a charging kit. The kit is available in white only and includes a power block and a 120” charging cable equipped with a USB-C connection. At least one charging kit should be added to your order,
- The 5-channel remote can control up to 10 individual window treatments. Motorization lift system upgrade does not include remote. A remote is not required for system operation, but if remote control operation is desired, we recommend adding one remote to your order for every room of shades.
- Add a Solar Panel to your order to keep your shades charged automatically, reducing the need for manual charging and battery maintenance. This convenient, energy-efficient option utilizes solar energy captured at the window and offers flexible mounting options. Product specifications and installation instructions are available here.
- The Wall Mount Kit includes a wall bracket, magnetic wall plate, 2 screws, and 2 drywall anchors. The wall bracket can be installed with provided screws or with 3M Command Strips (not provided) for flexible installation.
- Never lose your remote again! The Remote Wall Mount is simple to install and provides a convenient magnetic home for your remote.
- Programming for your shades and accessories is done in the SelectBlinds Automation App. Refer to the motorization guide linked below for more information.
- Add a SelectBlinds Automation Bridge to unlock the full potential of your automated system, enhancing connectivity, extending range, and enabling seamless integration with leading smart home platforms. - The SelectBlinds Automation Bridge supports control of up to 15 shades per home and allows secure remote access through the SelectBlinds Automation App, letting you adjust your shades from anywhere in the world. Motorized Wand
- Motorized Wand comes in 5 different color options: White, Off White, Grey, Bronze, or Black.
- Motorized options are powered by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, which will be shipped at or below 30% charge for safety. Fully charge your shades before use for optimal performance.
Inside Mount Instructions
To ensure an inside mount will work for your window, start by checking that you have enough mounting depth. You can find the exact requirements under the “Specifications” tab on the product page of the item you are considering.
Measuring the width
- To determine the width, measure from left to right on the top, middle, and the bottom. Use the smallest width out of those numbers.
- If you get a 1/16” or 1/32” increment, round down to the nearest 1/8”. (For example, if the smallest measurement is 24 9/16", round down to 24 1/2". If it's 24 3/8", no need to round down.)
- This is the width you will use when ordering.
Measuring the height
- To determine the height, measure from top to bottom on the top left, then the center of the window, and then the top right to the bottom of the window sill. Use the largest height out of those numbers.
- If you get a 1/16” or 1/32” increment, round up to the nearest 1/8”. (For Example, If the largest measurement is 24 9/16", round up to 24 5/8". If it's 24 1/2", no need to round up.)
- This is the height you will use when ordering.
Outside Mount Instructions
An outside mount is a great choice for better light coverage, since it fully covers the window and frame. To get the right fit, you’ll need to account for a few extra measurements when placing your order. We’ll custom make your shade to the exact dimensions you provide—no automatic additions are made.
Flat Surface Requirements
Start by choosing where you’d like to mount your shade. You’ll need at least 1-2½” of flat mounting space. For more details, check the product page and review the “Specifications” tab.
Measuring the width
- Begin by measuring the exact width of the window opening in three main places (top, middle, and bottom).
- Record the largest width out of the 3 measurements.
- You’ll use that measurement and add the recommended minimum of 4 inches. This will ensure the window is properly covered. For more light coverage and privacy, add even more to the measurement.
- When ordering, use this final number for the width.
Measuring the height
- Measuring the height is easy. Simply measure the height of the window in three places, including the top left, the middle, and the top right, all ending at the bottom of the sill. You’ll use the largest of the three measurements and add the recommended minimum of 4 inches. This will ensure the window is properly covered.
- The final number you come up with will be the height you use when placing your order.
Measuring Tips
- Use a steel measuring tape
- If you get a 1/16" or 1/32" increment for width, round down to the nearest 1/8"
