What Determines the Cost of a Roller Shade?
The type of roller shade you choose, plus any upgrades, will obviously have an impact on the final cost of your window coverings. Here are some factors that can affect how much roller shades may cost.
Custom Sizes
None of our products are “off-the-shelf.” Every product is custom-crafted just for you and your windows. Naturally, the size of your window will determine the amount of material that’s needed to properly cover them. The larger the surface area, the more material is needed, the more money it will cost.
Fabrics and Materials
Roller shades crafted with more expensive fabrics and materials (i.e. basic vs. designer) tend to be priced higher. We categorize the quality of materials in our tier system:
- Essential Tier products include simple designs in familiar styles. They are a great starting point for first-time home owners or renters that are looking for budget-friendly solutions.
- Signature Tier products feature thoughtful designs in trendy styles. They are the perfect place to start when looking for a beyond basic solution that is also affordable.
- Premium Tier products feature lasting designs in timeless styles. They are the ideal choice for an excellent investment that’s made to last. Some upgrade features may already be included in standard pricing.
- Luxury Tier products include superior design in distinct styles. They are for the homeowner looking to indulge in sophisticated customization. Some upgrade features are included in standard pricing.
Upgrades
There are different upgrades across roller shades. For example, you could add a cassette or fascia for a decorative touch, or for added safety, upgrade to a kid-friendly Cordless Lift. You can enjoy easy, no-tools installation with the No-Drill Blinds upgrade, or automate when your shades raise and lower with a Motorized Lift System and the SelectConnect Bridge.
