I bought these double cell blinds in the sandalwood color with the top down bottom up option for my living room and they look great. I went with the double cell for the added insulation properties and the top down bottom up option since I have a long rectangular top window over my three double-hung windows. I have had them now for two years actually and they still work and look great. I am just leaving a review now since I am back to buy some more and have been very impressed with this company and haven't been able to find a better deal yet. Thanks guys.

We werent sure honeycomb shades would work and look nice.They they were also very expensive in the home centers, so we looked online and found Select Blinds. Much better prices, better product information and more choices. We bought 4 to test in our bay window and they were terriffic. We have since bought 14 more for other rooms. They look great, keep the cold out in winter, and are very easy to install and operate. Top down/bottom up is the best of all worlds. Also, if you crunch a pleat, or several pleats, you can pop it back out with a long thin dowel, which also is helpful in removing the occasional bug that crawls inside the pleat. ( I guess it is nice and warm in there)

Measuring Instructions for Cellular Shades

All cellular shades except VuThru and EcoTrack
Width
  • Measure the exact width (left to right) of the inside edge of the window frame in three places (top, middle and bottom).
  • Take the smallest of the three measurements.
  • Write down that size making sure that it is the first number of the measurement. This is the width you will order.
  • *Headrail will be made 1/4" less than width ordered, including endcaps. Fabric will be made 1/2 inch less than width ordered.
Height
  • Measure the exact height (top to bottom) from the top inside edge down to the window sill in three places.
  • Take the largest of the three measurements.
  • Write down that size making sure that it is the second number of the measurement. This is the height you will order.
*width and length measurements may vary +/- 1/8"

VuThru Shades
Width
  • Measure the exact width (left to right) of the inside edge of the window frame in three places (top, middle and bottom).
  • Take the smallest of the three measurements.
  • Write down that size making sure that it is the first number of the measurement. This is the width you will order.
  • Inside mount headrail will be plus 1/4". Inside mount fabric width will be ordered width less 1/2".
Height
  • Measure the exact height (top to bottom) from the top inside edge down to the window sill in three places.
  • Take the largest of the three measurements.
  • Write down that size making sure that it is the second number of the measurement. This is the height you will order.
  • When the vanes are expanded (closed), the bottom rail touches the window sill. When the vanes are compressed (open), the bottom rail may lift off the sill slightly. This is normal.
*width and length measurements may vary +/- 1/8"

How to Measure EcoTrack Products

EcoTrack products are available as inside mount only.

Width
  • Measure the exact width (left to right) of the inside edge of the window frame in 3 places (top, middle, and bottom).
  • Take the smallest of the 3 measurements; this is the width that you will order.
  • Factory will make the following deductions:
       o Headrails: 1" less than width ordered.
       o Fabric: 1 1/8" less than width ordered.
  • Mounting requirements:
       o Minimum inside mount depth: 1 ½".
       o Flush inside mount: 2".
Height
  • Measure the exact height (top to bottom) from the top inside edge down to the window sill in 3 places.
  • Take the largest of the 3 measurements; this is the height that you will order.
  • Factory will make the following deductions:
       o The side tracks will be 1/8" shorter than the height ordered.
*width and length measurements may vary +/- 1/8"


All cellular shades except Vuthru
Width
  • Measure the exact width (left to right) of the wooden or metal window frame or how wide you would like the blind or shade to be.
  • Make sure to measure wide enough as to cover the entire window and provide maximum light gap coverage. Example: If the window opening is 72", it might be helpful to order 76". This will provide 2" coverage on each side of the window.
  • There is no rule on the width of blinds other than to make sure that it is wide enough to cover the opening.
  • Fabric will be made at ordered width and headrail will be ordered width plus ¼"
  • Write down that size making sure that it is the first number of the measurement.
Height
  • Measure the height you would like the blind to be by measuring top to bottom.
  • We recommend adding about 3 or 4 inches to this number to insure maximum light gap coverage and to cover the window completely.
  • Please be sure to know that the height measurement will always include the headrail. Example: if the height ordered is 50" this will be the height including the headrail (from the very top of the headrail to the bottom rail).
  • You will want to mount the headrail above the window frame. Please make a note that some windows have trim that might interfere with mounting so it's important to measure above the trim if this is the case.

VuThru Shades
Width

  • Please be sure to know that the height measurement will always include the headrail. Example: if the height ordered is 80" this will be the height including the headrail (from the very top of the headrail to the bottom rail).
