Modern Window Coverings

Modern window treatments are any window blind or window shade that you feel is the right window treatment for you and your house. Even the most traditional window treatment can be considered a modern window treatment, if it fits in with your décor, and you believe that it is modern. I mean really, who are we, or anybody else for that matter, to tell you what’s modern. We do however have a few favorites that we consider to be window shades and window blinds for the modern home.

Honeycomb shades, also known as cell shades, or cellular shades, are a timeless window treatment. Roman Shades are a favorite window shade because they are the closest to giving your window a drapery look. Roman shades can be custom ordered in 4 different fold styles, and a variety of materials, such as silk and cotton.

Woven / Bamboo Blinds and shades are made from natural materials such as wood, bamboo, grass, and jute. Although these are not necessarily considered “modern” styles, they complement virtually any décor you could have in your home. These shades can be ordered with or without liners, providing you with varying degrees of light filtration.
