Board Valances
Board Mounted Valances are offered in a variety of styles, and are an excellent choice for accenting wood blinds, honeycomb shades, roman shades, and woven and bamboo shades. Board Mounted Valances can work with almost any window frame as they can be ordered with either a 4" or 7" return. The return refers to the size of the side panels, and dictates the actual distance from the wall that the Board Mounted Valance front panel will be from the wall. Board Mounted Valances are available in a variety of fringe, swag, and hem styles, and are made to your exact measurements, so take extra care in measuring as these Valances cannot be adjusted.
Cornice Boards are similar to Board Mounted Valances. The main difference is that the Cornice Boards have a finished bottom that is made in 4 different styles, with each style being finished with ½" cording along the bottom edge. There is no free flowing material. Cornice Boards are also appropriate for virtually any style of window blind or window shade. Cornice boards can be ordered with either a 4" or 7" return. The return refers to the size of the side panels, and dictates the actual distance from the wall that the cornice board front panel will be from the wall. The Cornice Board will measure 16" at its longest point, and will be made to your exact measurements.
