This was my first order from select blinds, and I would order from them again. As other reviewers have said, the installation instructions could have been better, but any do-it-yourselfer can figure it out easily enough. Overall, very pleased!
I did tons of research on solar shades and ordered samples from 6 online window coverings companies before deciding to order these. What sold me on this product was that the samples very closely resembled some name brand solar shades, and the price was
OUTSTANDING. I was able to hang the shades by myself, although while hanging I measured incorrectly and had to move the brackets over about 1/4" on each of two windows. The finished result is exactly what I was hoping for. The shades cool off my southwest
facing family room, but still give me a great view of the lovely trees in our backyard that we value so much. The only draw back is that they do not provide as much privacy at night as I would like. On the other hand, the trade off is worth it to cut out the
sunlight and cool off my family room while maintaining the view.
Great quality product. The only thing I would do different is get the 3% instead of the 5%. The 5% is pretty see-through at night when you have the lights on inside.
I really enjoy these shades. They let the light come in but no one can see in the window.
