We've had 3 orders from S.B. in the past year. All were high quality and very easy to install. The only glitch was on a recent backorder where the manufacturer had to wait a very long time for the material in the color we ordered. S.B. people were very understanding and patient in getting us info on the backorder. This did not sour us on using S.B. Backorders happen. We will indeed us S.B. for our next oreder to finish out 29 windows in the house. We had a Hunter Douglas rep come in with an estimate a year ago to do all these windows, and he wanted more than 3 times what we were able to do through S.B. ourselves for the same items. Keep on with the great sale promotions!!

width measurement differences

I ordered inside mount sheer shades at 26 inches wide. The top frame was 26 inches and fit the recessed opening perfectly, however the actual shade width was only 25 inches. I bought the shades to filter the direct sunlight into my living room and prevent fading of my living room rugs and furniture. The inch less on the shades causes strips of direct sunlight to hit the carpeting and the back of my upholstered couches. <br>Other than that, I was amazed at the speed in which my order was received and the installation was very simple.

The quality of your product was excellent; however, I don't like the blinds I have "always" wanted in my bedroom. The people that work for you are excellent. I had a problem and I spoke with Elijah Chesko who was very professional and knowledgeable. Thank you for your quality product. I'm just bummed that I really don't like what I ordered. Annmarie Burke

These sheer shades are really great looking and about $50.00 cheaper than Blinds2go. They were easy to install and have a very sleek look. The color of the shade itself was a good match to what was illustrated on the web site. The only thing I was disappointed in was the metal valance that didn't seem to match as nicely. It had a yellowish color. I ended up using double faced tape and adding lace to it. They should offer an option for that.

Very Classy blinds

These blinds add beauty to the windows and you are able to capture the beauty outside too as you can see through them. Help to keep out the sun too. The chain to lower and raise are very easy to manuever. Very pleased overall.

Measure the exact width (left to right) of the inside edge of the window frame in three places (top, middle and bottom).
Take the smallest of the three measurements.
Write down that size making sure that it is the first number of the measurement. This is the width you will order.
Deductions
Headrail will measure ordered width minus 1/4".
Fabric will measure ordered width minus 1 1/8".
Height
Measure the exact height (top to bottom) from the top inside edge down to the window sill in three places.
Take the largest of the three measurements.
Write down that size making sure that it is the second number of the measurement. This is the height you will order.

Your sheer horizontals will be fabricated to the exact lengh ordered, when the vanes are in the open position. When the vanes are rotated to the closed position, the shading will become 3/8" longer.
When closed on a inside mount, a slight puckering may occur on the lower most sheer section beccause of the contact with the sill. You may slightly raise the shading off the window sill. If preferred, the shading can be ordered 3/8" less than the measured length.

Width
Measure the exact width (left to right) of the wooden or metal window frame or how wide you would like the blind or shade to be.
Make sure to measure wide enough as to cover the entire window and provide maximum light gap coverage. Example: If the window opening is 36", it might be helpful to order 40". This will provide 2" coverage on each side of the window.
There is no rule on the width of blinds other than to make sure that it is wide enough to cover the opening.
Write down that size making sure that it is the first number of the measurement. This is the width you will order.
Headrail will measure ordered width plus 1/4".
Fabric will measure ordered width minus 3/4".
Height
Measure the height you would like the blind to be by measuring top to bottom.
We recommend adding about 3 or 4 inches to this number to insure maximum light gap coverage and to cover the window completely.
Please be sure to know that the height measurement will always include the headrail. Example: if the height ordered is 80" this will be the height including the headrail (from the very top of the headrail to the bottom rail).
You will want to mount the headrail above the window frame. Please make a note that some windows have trim that might interfere with mounting so it's important to measure above the trim if this is the case.
Headrail is 2 7/8" in height.
The length of the shade will be the exact length ordered when the vanes are tilted in the open position. When the vanes are tilted shut the shade will become 3/8" longer.
