The shades themselves look beautiful and seemed fairly straightforward to install. Minor issues though - our windows were wide so the ordering process recommended 2 shades on one headrail for most of the shades we ordered. One of the sets had an almost inch wide gap between the 2 shades, which is a bit unsightly if both shades are pulled down together (fortunately we intend to use them separately). The other two 2-on-1 sets we ordered turned out fine (about 1/3 inch gap). And even though each set had 2 shades and therefore 2 cords, only one of those plastic loop pieces was provided for each set (to loop the hanging cord around). One set came without the side covers for the valance (we had to take them from another set which didn't need the side covers because it couldn't be seen from the side). But given that the price is 1/3 of some of the other similar products we saw, it was well worth it.
Product not received!
We had a bitter sweet experience that is still ongoing with regard to our first transaction with select blinds. The order was split. We got the first blind fast and loved the quality. The second set of blinds did not arrive in the time promised. 21 days later I called and emailed to learn why. I was finally informed they were to be shipped the next day. When they arrived they were without the cloth banding accent we paid for. When I called i was told your records indicated we got it. I assured them I didnt and that on the packing slip the edge was crossed out with pen. I was told i would have to take pictures to proceed. I was surprised I needed to "prove" that it was not present rather than taking my word for it. Reulctantly I took the time to take and send pictures to the email address i was told to direct them. another week and a half later I just got another email that I need to send pictures again to another representative! This has been the most labor intensive and annoying transaction I have ever experienced through online shopping. And its not over yet! I wish it went better because my wife and I were very impressed with the quality and appearance of the blinds and felt the price was fair. We are now reconsidering what to do for the remaining windows in the house.
Before ordering from Selectblinds, I checked out a couple well known window covering suppliers for cost. I found I could save major dollars at Selectblinds. There is no doubt that I would order again from Selectblinds!!
I ordered two blinds to fit a large window. one blind is fine but the other appears not to be constructed to well. The side are frade and does not seem to have the same thickness of the threads that are wound around the bamboo pieces. I have not contacted you because I don'tknow how to explain my issue with this.
