2 Measure Your Windows

When ordering solar shades, the fabric width will always be made at least 1 1/8” narrower for motorization, at least 7/8" for cordless lift, and at least 1 3/8" for all Continuous Cord Loop.

Inside mount means the window coverings will be mounted and hung on the inside of the window frame, or the ceiling. Not recommended for shallow windowsills. Outside mount means the window coverings will be mounted and hung outside of the window frame, making it ideal for shallow windowsills or for more complete light blockage by reducing the halo effect.

Lower percentage offers a tighter weave with more UV protection but limited view, while higher percentage offers a more open weave with greater view but less UV protection.

  • All lift styles, headrail will be 1/4" smaller than ordered width for inside mount and 1/8" smaller than ordered width for outside mount. Deductions taken at factory.
  • Cordless lift, Exposed Roll and Fabric Valance: Fabric width will be 1 1/8" smaller than ordered width for inside mount, 7/8" smaller for outside mount. Cordless Lift, Cassette Valance: Fabric width will be 1 1/4" smaller than ordered width for inside mount, 1" smaller for outside mount. Deductions taken at factory.
  • Deductions may vary +/- 1/8".

  • Do not attempt to compensate for the fabric deductions taken during manufacturing for inside mount applications. Adjusting the measurement could result in the shade not fitting inside the window opening. Some lift systems require more room on the roller to operate, resulting in a slightly larger light gap on one side.

Motorization Details

  • The 15-channel remote can power up to fifteen (15) individual window treatments. Motorization lift system upgrade does not include remote. At least one remote is needed per order. 
  • Battery charge will last ~6-9 months based on an average-sized shade raised and lowered once a day. Battery can be recharged up to 500 times. It takes approximately 4-6 hours to recharge the motor when fully depleted.
  • The battery uses an 8.4 volt charger, which requires a standard power outlet to recharge the battery. Kit includes both magnetic and standard charging cables, the charger is white and comes with a 120” wire.
Motorization Instructions
  • Motorized products installed in windows with metal casings may have a reduced radio frequency range, or may not operate at all, depending on the application.
  • Upper and lower limits come preprogrammed. Remotes do not come preprogrammed, refer to the installation guide on how to program your remote to your liking.
