2 Measure Your Windows

When ordering roller shades, the fabric width will always be made at least 1 1/8” narrower for motorization with a remote, and 7/8" for cordless lift system.

Mount Type
Inside mount means the window coverings will be mounted and hung on the inside of the window frame, or the ceiling. Not recommended for shallow windowsills. Outside mount means the window coverings will be mounted and hung outside of the window frame, making it ideal for shallow windowsills or for more complete light blockage by reducing the halo effect.

With a standard roll, the shade rolls up behind the roller tube and lays closer to the glass to let in less light but you see more of the tube. On a reverse roll the fabric falls in front of the roller for a more finished look.

Recommendations

  • Cordless lift, exposed roll or cassette: Fabric width will be approximately 1-1/8" smaller than ordered width on inside mounted shades, and 7/8" smaller than ordered width on outside mounted shades. Deductions taken at factory.
  • Motorized lift, exposed roll: Fabric width will be approximately 1-1/2" smaller than ordered width on inside mounted shades and 1-1/8" smaller than ordered width on outside mounted shades. Deductions taken at factory.
  • Motorized lift, cassette: Fabric width will be approximately 1-7/8" smaller than ordered width on inside mounted shades, and 1-1/2" smaller than ordered width on outside mounted shades. Deductions taken at factory.
  • Inside Mount: 1/4" deduction off headrail with cassette or exposed roll.
  • Deductions may vary +/- 1/8.
  • Do not attempt to compensate for the fabric deductions taken during manufacturing for inside mount applications. Adjusting the measurement could result in the shade not fitting inside the window opening. Some lift systems require more room on the roller to operate, resulting in a slightly larger light gap on one side.
  • Motorized options for this product are not covered under our FIT Guarantee.
  • Order a cassette for a clean, uncluttered look.
  • Cassette will be white and fabric wrapped based on fabric chosen. Bottom rail is fabric wrapped to match.
  • No-Drill Blinds Headrail is only available in the color white and will be visible after installation.
  • Fabric will be 1 1/2" smaller on any shade order with the No-Drill Blinds Headrail, regardless of lift style. 
  • The No-Drill Blinds Headrail option is only available for Inside Mount, and requires 2 1/2" of depth to install. It is not recommended for use with PVC window frames.
  • IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If No-Drill Blinds Headrail is chosen, measure the exact width of the top of your window frame and input those dimensions into the width field. Do NOT take the smallest of three measurements, which may cause your No-Drill Blinds Headrail not to fit properly.
  • The locking mechanism on the No-Drill Blinds Headrail will be located on the opposite end of the control side selected for the Continuous Cord Loop. The locking mechanism will be located on the right side for Cordless and Motorized options.

Motorization Details

  • Remote is already programmed to the motorized shade. All that is required is to connect the battery to the motor and your shade is ready to operate.
  • Rechargeable remote-control Motorization lift system upgrade includes rechargeable motor battery and charger.
Motorization Instructions
  • Battery charge will last up to 6 months based on an average-sized shade raised and lowered twice a day. It takes approximately 4 hours to recharge the motor when fully depleted.
  • Remote reaches from approximately 65-80 feet away from shade.
  • At least one remote is needed per order. The 5-channel remote allows you to operate up to 5 shades on a single frequency. When adding a multi-channel/frequency remote, please select 'No Remote' for any additional motorized shades you want to add and power with.
