- Bare windows work best. Make sure nothing is in front of the window. Fully open any existing coverings and remove any decorative items on or around it.
- Take photo facing window head on (no angled shots, please). Stand far enough away to capture entire window, including the sill and any framing around it.
- Take picture during the day, using as much natural light as possible. Avoid taking photo when direct sunlight is coming through window. OK to use flash if necessary.
- If you're thinking about drapes, be sure floor and ceiling above window are visible.
