Measuring the width

Measure the width
  • Measure only the window opening.
  • To determine the width, measure from left to right at the bottom of the arch.
  • Round down to the nearest 1/8” if you are receiving a measurement in 16ths or 32nds.  (For example, if the smallest measurement is 24 9/16," round down to 24 1/2". If it's 24 3/8", no need to round down.)
  • This is the width you will use when ordering.

Measuring the height

Measure the height

Please do not make your own deductions. We'll take care of that for you. This ensures that your product will be the perfect fit. If you feel you need to add width for better light coverage, order an outside mount instead. Please review the deduction chart below, which we’ll use when making your order.

Instructions for Outside Mounted Traditional Arches

Since an outside mount covers the window opening and frame fully, there are additions you need to make to make sure the correct size is ordered. We will make your product to the measurements you give us, and we won’t make changes or additions.

Flat surface requirements

  • First, decide where you want to mount the blind outside of the window frame. You need at least 1" of flat surface. You can mount it anywhere below the window opening, making sure to add to the height the lower you go. More specific information can be found under the "Product Info" tab on the product's information page.

Measuring the width

Measure the width
  • Measure only the window opening.
  • To determine the width, measure from left to right at the bottom of the arch.
  • Make a minimum addition of 2" on each side or 4" total. For example, if the window opening is 32", it would be helpful to order 36". This will provide 2" of coverage on each side of the window for maximum privacy and light gap coverage.
  • You can order narrower or wider based on your application, but the above example is a typical addition.
  • This is the width you will use when ordering.

Measuring the height

Measure the height
  • Measure only the window opening.
  • To determine the height, divide your width in half and measure the height at that location.
  • Add a minimum of 3" to the size. For example, if the window height is 32", it would be helpful to order 35". This will provide enough overlap for maximum privacy.
  • You can order taller or shorter based on your application, but the above example is a typical addition.
  • This is the height you will use when ordering.
