Meet Our Customer Service Employee of the Month: Devyn Brewer

When he’s not balling on the basketball court, Devyn Brewer is center court as a key Customer Service Agent here at SelectBlinds.com! With a positive attitude and dedication to customers , both new and old, he stood out as an integral part of our team. So much so that Simas Tamosaitis, Director of CS, wants us all to know that Devyn wasn’t just handed this award, he deserved it:

“Devyn wasn’t given the title of employee of the month, he went out there and earned it. He is customer-focused, hardworking, and is flexible to help meet our team needs to serve our customers. Since he was hitting the phones like a boss all April, and just scored a position on our Chat team, we wanted to give you a little intro to one of our star players and April’s Customer Service Employee of the Month!

Where are you originally from?

I’m originally from Redding, California, and grew up in San Bernardino. 

Where did you work before Select Blinds?  

Before Select Blinds I worked as a telemarketer for a company and as a delivery driver for Dominoes Pizza, both good training grounds for the customer service I provide here.

What do you like about working here?

I like that this company is constantly trying new things to grow and become a better business in every aspect. It’s a very positive, happy, fun environment to work in for employees in all departments .

Who is your favorite Select Blinds co-worker and why? 

My favorite would have to be [one of our managers], Katie, because she is ALWAYS there to help and has the perfect solution for any problem a customer may have. If she doesn’t, she will go above and beyond to get me that answer.

What are your favorite things to do when you’re not on the clock?

I like to play video games like 2k, FIFA, Fortnite and Spider-man. And I love basketball! Anything basketball — playing, watching — which is why my favorite thing about working here is the indoor basketball court. It’s fun to shoot around with co-workers on breaks.

While every one of them is happy to recognize what you need for your home, we felt it only right to recognize their contributions to our company. That’s why we are proud to highlight Hayley Reheis, who was named our Customer Service Employee of the Month for March.

Why did she earn the honor? Select Blinds Director of Customer Service Simas Tamosaitis explains:

“Hayley has never shown up late to a shift/called out and is an advocate for the customer and her teammates around her. Her dependability, strong work ethic and positive attitude serve as a model to the Customer Service team. Great job, Hayley!”

With that as our backdrop, let’s learn a bit more about Hayley.

Where are you originally from?

I’m from Arizona, but I’ve lived all over including Colorado, Washington State and Michigan.

Where did you work before Select Blinds? 

I worked at HomeGoods and Harkins Movie Theater.

What do you like about working at Select Blinds?

What I like about working at Select Blinds is the people I have the opportunity to talk to on the phone. I also love to make people laugh because I receive joy from helping others instead of myself.

Who is your favorite Select Blinds co-worker and why?

My favorite co-worker?  Who can choose one person when I work with so many awesome people and I’m enjoying getting to know all of them? Plus, everyone that I work with —  they have certain qualities about them that I can learn from and improve my effectiveness at this job and my life at home.

What are your favorite things to do when you’re not on the clock?

My favorite thing to do when I’m not working is spend time with my family because my family is the most important part of my life.
