The back of the blackout liner will be neutral/off-white to help comply with most HOA guidelines. Charcoal will have a grey tint on the back of the liner.

Recommendations

  • Outside mounted shades ordered width is the width of the hanging material. The valance will be 1" wider than ordered width for Corded Lift and Corded Top Down Bottom Up, and 1 1/2" wider for Continuous Cord Loop and Cordless. This is to create a cornice-style box for improved appearance and shade operation.
  • The headrail on Continuous Cord Loop and Cordless systems will come 1/2" wider than ordered width for outside mount.
  • Standard outside mount returns are 1-3/4" deep for Corded Lift and Corded Top Down Bottom Up, 2-3/4" for Cordless, and 2-3/4" for Continuous Cord Loop. No returns on inside mounts.
  • Edge binding is 5/8” wide.
  • Add a privacy liner or blackout to your shade to achieve your own perfect balance of light and privacy. The liner will extend the life of the shade, prevent fading, and reduce energy costs.
  • Privacy Liners and blackout liners are attached to the back of the shade where small slits are made in the lining at the ring cord-guide attachment locations. Sewing pin holes may be visible causing light gaps. When Edge-Bindings are also ordered, the privacy lining will be sewn under the binding.
  • Standard valances are 6" in height. For windows less than 18" wide, the valance will be 4" in height.
  • Liner colors are shown on the inside of the shade, while showing a neutral color to the street side.
  • Light filtering liners in white, beige, and tan liners are white on the street side. Khaki liner is off-white on the street side. Charcoal liner is gray on the street side.
  • Blackout liners in white, beige, tan, and khaki liners are white on the street side.
  • Inside mount deductions: 1/2" on headrail and fabric.
  • Deductions may vary +/- 1/8".
  • Shades ordered in a cordless lift with edge binding will only have edge binding on the sides of the shade and valance. Not the bottom of the shade and valance.
  • Liners are made of 100% polyester.

Perfect fit and easy install!



Ordered 6 premier woven wood blinds, 5 of which were top down, bottom up. Measured ourselves and they fit perfectly, easy to install once I found the right install video, and feel very solid. Selected blackout liners due to neighbors being very close, but the top down option still allows light while we also have privacy. 1/4 of the price of competitors like Smith & Noble and the Shade Store -- so happy we found Select Blinds!

Received our 5 premier woven wood shades and had them installed within a hour. We got them in the Merbau color and they're beautiful even when closed some light still filters through but that’s what we were after. Great fit, would recommend!
