I normally don't write a review unless someone (or some company) is in dire need of a scathing review. It makes me feel good to be able to share the misery with anyone who I think might read the review. In this case, I've taken the time to write a positive review of a deserving situation.
My wife and I built our new home, and as part of our window treatment needs, we purchased woven wooden shades with lined backings from Select Blinds. These are top-down, bottom-up shades that are perfect for our needs in our master bathroom.
The quality of the shades was good, and the workmanship and the fit were perfect. Eventually we experienced abnormal wear at the bottom of one of the shades. With both shades being subjected to the same environmental conditions and the same usage, and only one of them having a problem, we came to the conclusion that there must be a problem with the one shade.
I contacted Select Blinds through their web site, explaining our situation, and they promptly replied. The representative was courteous and helpful. At first, Select Blinds was not sure that our particular problem should be covered by warrantee, but after describing the probem in more detail, and including photographs, Select Blinds agreed to remake the blind. They even asked me to mail a sample piece of the old shade to them (a wooden reed) so that they could match the color.
A short time after mailing the reed, the newly-made blind arrived. I installed it yesterday and it was a perfect fit and a perfect match. Thank you to Select Blinds for standing behind your products, and for proving to me that you do care about customer satisfaction.
