I first ordered the lifestyle shades for my living room, and dining room area and I was thrilled to do so, they're very nice and sheek. So when it was time to order some for my son's room, and guest room I figured what the heck i'll go with the cheaper option thinking how much worse can they be? and the savings seemed to outweigh the risk of the unknown. When they first arrive I could immediately tell that the material was cheaper and that didn't bother me much as it was still a very nice looking shade except the fact that the roller cord is made out of plastic giving it a really cheap look, it feels like it would probably break in a few years. I wouldn't be so bother by it if the product description would be more clear as to how it would look, and what the materials being use were. When looking at the pictures for the lifestyle light filtering shades and the essential shades the pictures look exactly the same.
Select blinds should include more pictures of the blinds and the continuous cord loop to give people more of an idea of what the blinds look like.
Overall I still recommend the shades as they are very beautiful. I would recommend spending the extra money for the Lifestyle shades.
