These blinds look absolutely fabulous in my front bedroom of my coastal-themed home. The colors in them are very rich. The valance finishes off the window. Some light seeps through because I didn't opt for the room darkening filter, but enough light to wake you up, but not too much. You can't see into the room from the street when they are down. I opted for 1 blind on a 70" window and it looks great. I measured and installed myself and it fits perfectly.
