[Outside Mount] Installation is simple. I had to get metal screws because I put them on an exterior door. The hardware was pretty low quality, so I would have used different anchors and screws on drywall anyway. They function well, but it's sort of annoying to raise the shades under the valance (I think that's what the top part is called) because the side pieces are only attached at one end at the top by velcro so they're flimsy and they flop in the way. The side pieces aren't pretty either as you can clearly see the glue in the middle. This wouldn't be an issue for inside mounts. I wish there were more reference pictures on the website of outside mounts, and not just computer-generated ones. They hang a solid 1-2 inches from the surface, which looks sort of weird on a door. All that said, the woven wood on the shade is sturdy and looks great. That's where the value comes in.

I followed the video and reviewed the website when I ordered my Bamboo wooden shades. The video only tells you to round down 1/8" from the narrowest width measured. I followed the instructions and gave the exact measurement. My blinds arrive 3/4" too narrow. Even the website only says fabric is cut 5/8" narrower not bamboo wood shades. I'm still waiting on response to an open incident regarding my order. Phone calls go unanswered and are redirected to text messaging. It took 24 hours to respond to my text asking the order number. Another 6 hours to ask what's wrong. This is ridiculous. I tried opening a warranty claim and have yet to receive an email acknowledging it. It's interesting because the other two windows I ordered were only a 1/4 off. It seems they did not cut them narrower like these two I'm having an issue with. The blinds are pretty nice for the price and easy to install. However, if you have any issues customer service is really not available after the sale. It's easy to get someone on the phone when your ordering but after that it's extremely slow and inefficient.

Very disappointed with these blinds. I ordered 2 at about 47” x 70”. I installed the blinds 5 days ago. I got the golden poppy wood blinds. I ordered samples first. The blinds that arrived are slightly different than the sample, which I was prepared for, but is worth mentioning. The sample had no knots/flaws in the wood, where the blinds do have knots and flaws such as curved or crooked pieces of wood. Also, the stitching is closer together on the blinds vs. the sample. The head rail on one blind was slightly bowed. I was still able to install but it leaves a small gap at the top. I installed inside mount. The wood reeds/“fabric” of the blind is simply stapled to the top rail with silver staples. Considering these are top-down bottom-up blinds, that top rail with the staples is visible to the room any time you open the blind from the top. The staples leave it looking unfinished. One blind refuses to sit level. I tried to follow the instructions provided to troubleshoot this, but it still went up crooked. Initially this did not impact the function of the blind, but looked very sloppy. On day 5 (of very gentle use; we are a household of 2 careful adults), one blind got permanently stuck in the middle of the window. I cannot raise it at all on one side, and I cannot lower it at all past this point. My options are to leave the blind halfway down and crooked, or leave it floating in the center of the window. We will no longer have any coverage on that window since it’s stuck and won’t cover the bottom half of the window where it’s most needed. Another thing to note- this particular fabric “golden poppy” does not provide much, if any, privacy at night. It blocks the view of outside entirely, but if you have lights on in the house and look from outside, you can get a very clear view of the room through the slats. You can make out facial expressions, see art through the window. I tried to test this with the sample but I didn’t realize until we hung the blinds up how little coverage there would be. Definitely not a good option if you want privacy. They do block some sunlight, though. The only plus is that the blinds were easy to install, and they do add a nice texture to the room. But overall, since these do not function, this was a total waste of money.
