The finishing quality of this shade left a lot to be desired. The top seams were rough and velcro edges extended out from the fabric. I had to trim quite a bit of the edges off. My largest complaint is the mounting bracket style. I ordered the exterior mount for a glass door, with the blackout feature due to the intense sun on this part of the house. The brackets prevent the shade from connecting to door/glass but worse than that they push the shade so far off the surface that a large amount of sunlight still flows into the room. I also called customer service and asked specific questions about the construction of this shade. One thing I asked on 2 phone calls was about the ability of the shade to fold along the creases without needing 'help' as the height of the shade when pulled up would be too high for me to adjust the pleats. I was told the pleats would fold naturally along the seams they used. This is not the case, when the shade is pulled up, the folded pleats are uneven and messy - and too high for me to 'pop' into their flat position without a ladder. Over all these blinds are a cheep quality and design.
