We ordered three motorized shades for our home with a remote control. Two shades malfunctioned within a few weeks of ownership and had to be replaced. One replacement also stopped working and had to be replaced.
The final, third blind, stopped working after about 10 months. A replacement blind was sent and that replacement blind was broken right out of the box. The motor was defective. I went through numerous calls, troubleshooting, sending videos and here I am two months later with no replacement blind. I have called numerous times, am promised a replacement and nothing comes.
I just called again and was told they were sending a new motor next week. I have heard this before three times. Nothing comes. In addition, when the motor does come (if it ever does) I have to install it myself on a supposedly new blind that was literally broken one minute after installation.
Let me summarize: I purchased three blinds and have had a 100% failure rate on those blinds. This is a product that is fraught with technical and mechanical issues that should not be on the market.
I feel taken advantage of at this point and literally powerless to get Select Blinds to take action. They say they have alerted the factory or manufacturer for a decision etc... Nothing happens. This is really unacceptable.
My personal feeling is that they have a massive amount of returns and customer complaints on this product and so are now not wanting to continue honoring their warranty or making it so difficult to get it repaired or replaced such that you want to give up.
