This is my third house in which we have used select blinds blackout shades. So very easy to measure and incredibly easy to install. However the key factor is that they really do black out the morning light. In both of our houses in Savannah Georgia we got the pale gray and it looked great against our cream walls. We are now Live in California right by the beach where the morning sun comes in as soon as it rises. We went this time with the French beret cellular blackout shades and the color is absolutely beautiful. They definitely block out almost all of the early morning sun and this time we ordered the motorized blinds. Call us lazy or call us old, which we are, but being able toRaise and lower the shades from the comfort of your bed is the height of luxury. The sales people are incredibly knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. I cannot recommend select blinds highly enough
