Absolutely love the blind! It’s very easy to go up and pull down! Make sure you order samples before ordering because colors are very different. Had to repaint a wall because I didn’t order the sample before hand but it turned out good!

Loving these TriShades!

Previous to buying these blinds I was struggling with using heavy blackout curtains on a standard traverse curtain rods. The heavy curtains caused the rods to fail after a couple years and I didn't have the privacy + light that I wanted during the day. I considered going with two layers of curtains (sheer and blackout), but that seemed like too much fabric when I was already having a problem with the heavy blackout curtains. Then, I heard about the trishades - I checked out my local Home Depot and the final quote for my windows was 2x the cost of the final quote from selectblinds. So, I bought the selectblinds for all three windows in my bedroom and I couldn't be happier. They were simple to install and they work exactly as advertised. The largest hurdle I had to address was deciding between inner vs. outer mounting. I was originally planning on an inner mount, but after thinking about how the blinds would stick out of my 1.5" deep window frames, I'm glad I went with an outer mount. While I did lose the ability to see the trim of my window frame when the blind is down, I'm getting excellent blackout from the sun, privacy, and thermal insulation. I'm glad I went with this solution and the cost was fair! Also, I wish I had thought to purchase a 5 year warranty when I purchased the blinds. It is a reasonable cost to protect this investment and I just verified that it is not possible to purchase the warranty after the sale is complete.

Perfect Test Fit

Blinds2Go and NextDayBlinds wanted, respectively, nearly 2.5K and 3K for the same the most basic honeycombs, and vertical blind, that I needed. Without incurring tax, measuring fee, and labor, I self measured and paid 1K for nine windows and one patio door. I even upgraded the honeycombs to be the trifilter; the big box stores would have added nearly $500 extra. Each window took about 10 minutes which included needing a drill bit to get a hole made in the studs, and took 30minutes to install the sliding patio door's vertical blinds and valence. Everything looks amazing and it was all thanks to pre-planning with the samples and getting "pro-estimates" to realize SelectBlinds is the smarter way to do things. Plus, there is more satisfaction to enjoying home aesthetics from knowing you installed it yourself.
