Not what I expected



This product was not what I expected. 1. Shipping, The shipped via Fed-Ex. Fed -Ex has become reliability- UN-reiliable. Fed-ex claimed to have attempted to make the delivery however they did not. I called SELECT BLINDS to try and get some assistance with the delivery however you cannot react anyone by phone. The number they provide is fully automated and you cannot talk to anyone live. We had the product dropped at a fed-ex location and went and picked it up. Frustrating 2. Select Blinds did not include any printed instructions in the box, you have to go online to get installation instructions. Inconvenient. 3. The instructions called for 6 mounting brackets however only 4 were included in the shipment. The fact that there were only 4 mounting brackets was noted on the packing slip included with the shipment. Why only send 4 brackets when your instructions tell the installer to use 6 brackets ?. Poor quality control. 4. Overall quality of the product was cheap. The head-rail was made of thin metal. not substantial, feels flimsy and weak. Definitely not built to last. The FOUR brackets were again lightweight and felt cheap. The panel material was thin and felt like plastic. Installation was difficult due to the flimsy nature of the product. We needed 3 people to install the head-rail because of the way it flexed while trying to mount it into the clips. The cord tension device was cheap plastic and the instructions on how to attach it were vague and difficult to follow or understand. This appears to be a crucial part of the system and I fear that due to the cheap construction of this item I will not last. This item should definitely be re-engineered. I fear that WHEN this item fails the entire system will no longer function as intended and may BECOME UNSAFE TO USE. Based on our experience I would not recommend this product. I also would not recommend Select Blinds for any window treatments. Based on the overall quality of the product we feel there is little value for the price we paid. Also not having printed instructions and the ability to pick up the phone and actually speak with a person is a major factor in our decision.

Panels are wrinkled and roll at the edges. Company will not help with issue other than telling me to stem them..wish I would have known that they don’t stand behind the product they send out.This was a costly mistake

Would not reccommend



They will not lay flat. They the fabric curves in on the edges. They catch each other when opening and get messed up. For the price I am very disappointed but when I called they said I could not send back because I didn't like them.
