Not like the other 3 I bought



I ordered 3 other blinds for the house. I learned on the way to spend the extra money to get the metal pulls. I absolutely love the first one I got. The second one works well with the metal pull. So does the third one. These last two I ordered look cheap and the continuous pulls on this one seem to be plastic also. I'm disappointed this time around. They install differently than the rest. I'm not sure why all the shades I got have been different. The good news is all my windows all have coverings on them now, so I won't have to order anymore.

A few weeks ago I posted a review of Select Blinds. The facts of that review were that they made 3 blinds for me. Two of the blinds were great. One of the blinds was made differently than the other two and its glaringly obvious. I maintain that this was a manufacturing error, but they did not agree and would not make me a new blind. So, I posted a negative review. Brian from customer service reached out to me and basically made things right. As I stated, Select Blinds gave me some good product at a decent price. If I had received three blinds and all three were as good as two of them, they would get a top rating. Brian would also receive a 5 star rating as he understood the situation and made it right, and because of that, I'll use Select Blinds again. Thanks Brian.

Amazing product, BUT...be careful!!!!
Our only complaint has to do with ordering through the website, so be careful when you order!!! We specifically went to the "corded top down/bottom up" feature and then specifically selected "roman shades" under the "Refine by" search. They only gave us 4 to choose from (we chose the Lifestyle), and when we went through the order setup, BOTH my husband and myself double-checked what we clicked on to make sure we got top down/bottom up. However, what was made and shipped to us was not what we expected - classic roman shades, as opposed to the top down/bottom up we ordered. We have no idea whose "oops" (their word on their site) it was, or if there was a glitch of some sort with the algorithms for all of the clicking, sorting, etc. (too many options for searching), or who knows what! And of course, we weren't allowed to send it back for even an alteration, so we had to REORDER AND PAY ANEW (their policy) for a remake of two of the blinds that we ordered so that we could have the top down/bottom up that we need. We decided to keep the other two as classic so that we didn't have to pay any more for those, either. Our situation could have been an anomaly, but unfortunately, it was a very disheartening and expensive anomaly. Their product is fantastic in an of itself, just be really careful when you order.

After a lot of research I purchased several roman shades. They were sent with no installation instructions and the online information is wrong. It took nearly 2 weeks to get the correct instructions. I am very meticulous and have installed blinds for decades. Everything was measured, leveled, etc and each blind hardware was mounted exactly as instructed and identical for each blind. However, the blind's control mechanisms were not standardized so each blind had to be removed and the hardware changed to accommodate this variability. Each corded system was tied differently with most tangling. One had what appears to be dried blood on the cord. The valance makes it very difficult to lock the shades since the cord has to be pulled so far to the side to lock that the valance gets in the way. I have never had difficulties with shades until these; there seems to be poor quality control between each blind. Finally they are not standardized regarding the pleats on each shade. They do not look good but I cannot afford to change these. This is not quality and these are not nice looking but they have to stay. I expected far better quality for the price.
