[Outside Mount] Installation is simple. I had to get metal screws because I put them on an exterior door. The hardware was pretty low quality, so I would have used different anchors and screws on drywall anyway.
They function well, but it's sort of annoying to raise the shades under the valance (I think that's what the top part is called) because the side pieces are only attached at one end at the top by velcro so they're flimsy and they flop in the way.
The side pieces aren't pretty either as you can clearly see the glue in the middle. This wouldn't be an issue for inside mounts. I wish there were more reference pictures on the website of outside mounts, and not just computer-generated ones.
They hang a solid 1-2 inches from the surface, which looks sort of weird on a door.
All that said, the woven wood on the shade is sturdy and looks great. That's where the value comes in.
