Bad part first: I thought I had ordered top down bottom up shades that actually show the naked window. They are the sheer panel that is always covering the window. But,technically, they are bottom up top down shades. On the plus, they are beautiful and easy to use. I love that I can raise the bottom section all the way up or just partially up. We need to keep the bottom covered so the dog doesn't go crazy with every passerby. We never wanted shutter- type treatments. And we always wanted a solar package that protected the living area from the afternoon/evening sun in the summer. Thank you for making this easier than I imagined.
