I originally bought vinyl 2 inch mini blinds from another company and liked them a lot but after buying them I learned that vinyl blinds contain PVC which off-gases and can produce lead, dioxin and other potentially harmful substances. After doing more research I found out that aluminum or fabric was the best choice so I visited Select Blind's website and really liked the choice of colors and the cordless lift and lock feature. Cordless blinds were a necessity since I am putting these in my infant son's bedroom. The lift and lock works great and the blinds stay where they are positioned. I also bought one for the bathroom and will replace the rest of the existing corded blinds in my home room by room. The blinds were more expensive than standard cordless vinyl blinds, however, the quality is top notch and there is piece of mind knowing that these aluminum blinds are non toxic. The blinds were well packaged and the size was exactly the dimensions that I requested.
