I really regret this purchase. I would not buy cordless blinds from Select Blinds again.
These are very inconvenient to lower, and they're ESPECIALLY difficult and inconvenient to raise. Lifting each blind takes several seconds. It takes even longer if you want them to fully retract under the apron so they don't look lopsided and bunchy.
Here are the instructions from the packet on lifting the shade: "Place your hand (palm facing up) under the bottom of the shade and push upward slowly - if the shade material bunches-up, stop momentarily and then continue pushing upward - do this repeatedly if necessary until the shade reaches the desired height."
It's ... a whole process. I wish I would have seen these directions before I purchased; they're revealing!
In short: these might be okay if you keep them in the same position all the time. But if you're planning on raising and lowering them on a daily basis (much less raising and lowering SEVERAL of them!), I'd strongly recommend a more efficient corded style.
I'm planning on replacing these with some non-custom blinds that are more usable. It's a hit, though; there are zero returns or exchanges. So: know the limitations of this style ahead of time and avoid making my mistake!
