I ordered 3 of these blinds for my kitchen. 2 of the blinds are for narrow windows so cordless lift was not an option. Overall they look ok and were easy to install. My issue is that they either have to be all the way down resting on the window sill since they he cord only locks if they are pulled all the way up. It would be nice to have the cord lock half way down but not an option. At first I thought it was a defect but all 3 blinds are this way. If I had known they can only be up or down I would have gone with a different brand. The blinds also had a very strong chemical smell that took several days to go away.

This is our 2nd home that we have used Select Blinds in personally. My husband is a general contractor and he has had a hard time finding a better quality for the price when comparing to name-brand blinds that have an over-inflated price. He just installed 15 of the wood blinds of varying sizes, cord options and wands vs. no wand and we are always impressed. No longer are the valances held in by the plastic clips that wear down over time. Now they are held in by a magnetic piece that slides into the rail (behind) so it is not visible from the front. The crescent valance is not as rounded or moon shaped as I thought it would be--which had me a little worried initially. You have to really study it to notice any real curvature--it goes well with the window trim. The color is consistent with every other blind that was ordered, the finish/paint on the wood is smooth and easy to clean or wipe down, the wands are smooth and stable. Depending on the window location we ordered some that had the fixed-mount cords (slider door for the sheer roll-up) or the cordless version--really like the ease and functionality of these--or the cord that hangs to one side or the other. There is much improvement on the string pulley system as well from years past. Depending on the width of your window (two to four strings) the string-pulley system now feeds into a wooden dowel that converts it into one thicker, stronger string so no more getting a catty-wompus angle (trying to line-up the strings) with your blinds. They now pull evenly up or down. We have recommended Select Blinds in the past to friends, family and clients and will continue to do so in the future.

We ordered 2" wood blinds for the entire house. They look beautiful and were easy to install. There were a couple of issues, but customer service was prompt and very accommodating. At no cost to us they provided a new blind and valances for us.
