First the good: these blinds are gorgeous and LOOK perfect in my grandkids playroom. The mechanism works smoothly and overall they are a high-quality set of shades. BUT, now the bad: the blackout effect, that was an upgraded liner, is non-existent. The room is nearly as bright as daylight. I requested Select Blinds review the order, sent photos, video, that clearly showed that these blinds could barely even be considered light-filtering, let alone blackout. After a review process that included a request for more photos which I gladly gave them, they simply "rejected" my claim and left it at that. No explanation, nothing, just an email that stated something like "upon review, we have determined your blinds were made properly with the blackout liner." Okay, fine, but now what? I have had to purchase ugly blackout curtains to put over the windows, hiding the beautiful shades. Nothing further from the company, not even an apology. So this is my only recourse, I guess. If you want beauty and smooth operation, this is your place. If you need a dark room, you will need to look elsewhere, and for what it's worth, find a company that wants a better customer relationship. What a shame.
