Still have not been able to get your product installed we have contacted and ask for help but the video you sent is for motorized blinds with completely different set of brackets than what you sent us would like to return your product if possible even my contractor cannot figure out how to install

As the previous reviewer said, the installation is an absolute bear. My dad and I are very handy folks. I purchased the blind thinking that we could handle it despite the warning in the reviews because we are always installing crap. The side rails went up easy enough, but then we hit the dreaded bracket step... It was completely nonsensical. The images do not clearly show which way to orient the brackets. We ended up figuring out that the curved lip should sit under the upper and lower portions of the blind itself (away from the window) and snap into place. The instructions tell you how to measure for the placement of the brackets, and it is completely wrong. We snapped the brackets into the blind and marked pilot holes based on their placement when we held them up to the skylight header and footer rather than trying to make sense of what the instructions wanted us to do. We tried to watch the video, but the brackets shown are completely different. It was a very disheartening process, and we were very concerned about damaging the blind and/or drilling a bunch of holes during a trial and error approach. We attempted to contact someone at Select Blinds, but they were not helpful. Ultimately, the blind is nice, and we figured it out. I just wish the instructions had been equally nice.

I measured my skylights at the base. My ladder wouldn’t reach the top. When the blinds came I rented a taller ladder to reach the top. It turned out the top of the skylights are slightly narrower at the top. Normally, the blinds would be replaced but because I ordered the motorized ones, that option isn’t available. So be aware that you’ll be out a lot of money if your builder did a lousy job installing your skylights.
