This shade is suppose to be 'custom'. But I was unable to give different measurments for the length and width from what is posted online. I wanted the length to be only 48" but they were unable to make it shorter for some reason. I also decided later that I wanted the valance afterall, and I was told it's too late. If every thing is custom-made I should be able to get exactly what I wanted.
The shade itself is fine, the material is as expected, the mechanisms work but I will have to replace the weight at the bottom. It is not heavey enough and the slightest wind moves it around. I want to lower it only half way but it moves too much so my only option is to tie it to the ground each time. But I think if I install a chain link instead of the rod that comes with it, I can fix it.
Finally, I saw outdoor shades at Home Depot for less than half this cost and I think I would have been better off buying that.

Hello Sarah,
We apologize that your Outside Shade was not as customizable as you hoped it would be. I wanted to ask if you were able to use the bungee tie-downs provided that help keep the shade from blowing around.
