Honestly, I feel like you get what you pay for with these. I was searching for Roman shades and didn’t want to spend thousands, so when I saw the price of these and was able to buy 9 shades for under $1000, I was ecstatic. At first I was so happy with everything, then I started to notice why maybe they’re a little cheaper than other places. I love that they’re fully custom, they send you the sample fabrics, and installation is super easy. However, on all 6 of my cordless blinds, the stitching is totally wonky and not straight going horizontally across the blinds. Is it a big deal? No. Would anyone who comes to my house notice it? Probably not, but it caught my eye and now I can’t unsee it on all of them. As far as the 3 corded Roman shades I got, 2 of them are extremely hard to close. No matter which way you pull the string, the shade only goes up. You have to pull the string in tiny little pulls while pulling the entire blind down with it. It honestly just makes me want to keep the blinds down all the time because it’s such a hassle to try and close them. Overall they’re not bad considering the price- I just probably wouldn’t buy the corded Roman shades again.

Although I opted for the "classic" Roman shade it should have been called "basic," there are absolutely No Frills with this product. The shipping and install were outstanding but my window now looks like it has a giant movie screen hanging over it.

I'd been looking for window covering for some time and after I received your materials, that were so comprehensive I decided to spend the money and go for it. I selected the roman shades with the headers and a couple of weeks after I received them I was able to get my handyman over to install them. They look fabulous and the fit is great. I would counsel folks to invest in a laser measure. I measured all of my opening three times (horizontally and vertically) just to be sure. They are constructed beautifully. I've made roman shades in the past but don't have the work space that is needed to lay out the materials, especially for the expanses that I was wanting to cover, not to mention the work entailed. From ordering to receipt of the shades it was about two weeks. The cordless lift system is fabulous. I was used to roman shades that utilized the cord system to raise/lower them, what a pain that was. My installer had a little bit of trouble when marking the points for the hardware as the pre-drilled holes weren't always the same distance from either end but he caught on and progressed quickly after that first one. He also noted that the small brass eyelets fell out. I guess they're to protect the lines in the pulleys that raise/lower the shades. We threw them out. I've told a few people thru Next Door that were looking for a company to check out SelectBlinds and I hope they do. I'm sure they'll be as satisfied as me! I have also ordered one more shade to cover the door in one of the rooms where the other order was installed. I also wanted to order two pretty small (12" wide) shades for the sidelights around this door but they don't make them smaller than 17". Well, I guess I've gushed enough.

This company provided great customer service. Nice to work with on the phone, samples came promptly and order arrived when expected. The product we ordered is what receives the low rating. Our first choice was unavailable do we went with the Classic Roman Shade. Everything about it is cheap. When hung in our home they cheapen the appearance of each room. It’s not a good look. We liked the sample but beware when the scale of the item changes so does the overall appearance.
