Quality is a concern



I purchased a 4 panel kit for a large window. The reviews were mostly positive so I took the plunge. While installation was somewhat easy with their support’s help, I see opportunities for Select Blinds to offer video tutorials, because their one page instruction was super vague. I have a lower rating because of the quality, classic faux shutters are really plastic shutters. The part that gives it away in an obvious way are the end caps on the stiles. None of them are fully capped even when I press as hard as I can to get them in and there are uneven gaps that is really bothering me in fact I’m considering returning them for this reason alone because they present a really “cheap” look and not something I would expect paying nearly $500 for.

Great Shutters, Great Value



Customer service was very helpful throughout the ordering process, ensuring that no issues would come up during manufacturing. The shutters arrived sooner than expected, and we were very impressed with the method of packaging as all shutters were in perfect condition. The installation went very smoothly. My husband did the majority on his own, only needing a second set of hands to hold the frames in place once they were level and square. The shutters look amazing.

Inside shutters



Installation was actually pretty easy. If you have any gaps too big for caulking, you can find 1/2 inch quarter round in white pvc at Lowes or Home Depot. Be sure that the door hinges are ABOVE the frame hinges. Would be nice if the blinds shipped with the drill bit that goes with those unusual screws.

Terrific Experience



My wife and I wanted shutters and found selectblinds after being quoted an outrageous price following a time consuming in-home consult with another shutter company. We purchased the shutters at a great price (1/2 of the previous quote), they arrived on time, and look beautiful. the installation instructions are somewhat vague, and some installation video instructions would be helpful - but all in all, we're thrilled with our purchase and will coming back to selectblinds in the futute.
