We ordered these in January and received them quickly. They were a little complicated to install, so allow half a day or so. These look like large cellular shades, but turned on their side. They provide complete privacy, are easy to slide, and give an updated look to the room -- not those vertical blinds from the 80's. They do look a bit "institutional," so I added some inexpensive panel curtains on the sides to soften the look. Everyone loves them. There was a cigarette odor to the blinds when we first installed them -- as if someone might have been smoking in the factory -- this odor went away quickly, helped along with a little Fabreze. We ordered the matching cellular shades for the window in the same room. The two-inch shades are lovely, but the control mechanism, at the bottom, hides under the shade -- the access to raise and lower the window shade is just a little difficult. This is not true of the vertical version, which is very easy and smooth to use.
