In my Traditional-Modern home, I have a huge picture window (81” height). I purchased the Solar Dual Shade, Shady Gray, inside mount, motorization with remote. I was hesitant about the stripes, as it seems stylishly modern. But when fully lowered it appears more solid, and when fully lifted it disappears into the housing. The partway lift exposing the stripes takes a little getting used to, but the eye is drawn through the slats to the outside. Color matches the free swatches. The construction seems good. Motor is quiet. Motor is recharged via cord from the top housing to an outlet. Not wanting to get a ladder every time to recharge, I keep the top end of the cord plugged into the housing and it hangs hidden behind a side panel drapery ready to be plugged into the outlet when needed. Inside mount fits well (I used a laser distance measuring tool and followed the Select Blinds guidelines). Had some trouble installing the housing to the brackets—it needs a good hard push to clip it in. Mounted the remote bracket in a handy place. The remote was frustrating to program. I ended up resetting the motor and have no programs set. I keep the shade all the way up or all the way down. And if I want a little light, I press the up button to the desired spot. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. It’s one of the best upgrade solutions in my home.
