Here are some quick tips and notes to remember:

• Awning Width:
  Measure the total length of wall space available. Choose a standard width based on this measurement.
• Mounting Space:
  We recommend a minimum of 10 inches of clear horizontal mounting space for the full width of the awning.
• Height (Awning to Floor):
  Minimum height should be 80 inches (6 ft 8 in) from the floor to the bottom of the awning.
  The ideal height is 8 feet (96 inches).
• Projection:
  This is the distance from the wall to the outer edge of the fully extended awning.
• Note valance height and desired pitch settings for your awning model.
